Lifetime’s Married at First Sight has a new spin-off show on the way called Married at First Sight: Couples’ Cam. The couples will film the series themselves.
This might be in response to the current quarantine situation. Or maybe this was the plan all along and eliminating the camera crew as just a smart move for the budget. Either way, a press release from the network promises: “highs, lows, humor, drama and domestic life.” Here’s my question though, if they’re filming this show themselves, will we actually get to see the drama? Couldn’t they just shut the camera off when they argue?
On last night’s episode of Married at First Sight, the couples went on their honeymoons. Here we go! This is when things start going downhill and getting REAL. Everything is always polite during the wedding for the most part, but there is only so much you can hide on a vacation with someone.
The wedding night was the first time the couples were alone with one another. They don’t even know each other’s last names, but they slept in the same bed. Sigh! The rooms look more like a bed and breakfast than a nice hotel, but they did come stocked with condoms. All signs say at least two of the Married At First Sight couples use them before the end of the honeymoon.
On this week’s episode of Married at First Sight- Happily Ever After, the couples meet with the experts after being counseled for the last eight weeks. They want to check in with each couple to see if they are truly on the road to happily ever after. I am more interested in what happened when the cameras stopped rolling and these couples weren’t under the supervision of the experts. Hopefully, there will be a tell-all special to reveal what happened behind the scenes.
Jephte Pierre finally decides to step up to the plate and help Shawniece Jackson with some of the household duties. He decides to cook… badly, but he still gets an A for effort. You can tell the kitchen is a foreign place for him. Even so, Shawnieceappreciated the gesture. The end result is stuffed peppers that actually look pretty good.
On this week’s episode of Married at First Sight- Happily Ever After, the couples meet with the experts in Boston for a marriage retreat. I’m sure everyone is just dying to reveal all of their marriage issues in a group setting and rehash old wounds… NOT. They will also get the chance to meet Shawniece Jackson and Jephte Pierre’s new baby, Laura. They are the center of attention because the other two couples have a lot of questions about labor and adjusting to life with a newborn. After last week’s episode where Shawniece flipped out Jephte for not helping with household duties, I am sure they have plenty of advice for the group.
Before the Married at First Sight couples meet with the experts, they get lunch to check in with one another. The last time they met, all of the wives were pregnant. This is everyone’s first time meeting one of the new babies. Danielle Bergman is surprised that Shawniece is so brave to bring her baby out so early. She already made it clear she isn’t bringing her baby out until a few months after birth. Nonetheless, everyone fawns over baby Laura and enjoys the quiet before the storm with the experts.
On this week’s episode of Married at First Sight- Happily Ever After, will the already fragile marriage between Shawniece Jackson and Jephte Pierre become broken to the point of no return? The couple recently welcomed home their first child and things are not going well. Shawniece is completely overwhelmed and is desperately seeking help and attention from her husband. At this point, I am not sure if Jephte cares to be a husband or is just going through the motions because of his child. One thing is for sure, struggling through a marriage while learning to care for your first child is rough. Shawniece may have reached her breaking point.
Shawniece is starting to resent Jephte who is away at work most of the day and doesn’t do much when he returns. While trying to have a conversation about her stress, Jephte seems totally unsympathetic towards her plight.
