First it was Kristin Cavallari all but confirming that MTV’s The Hills is fake. Now it’s Lauren Conrad’s turn. Lauren appeared on the View yesterday, and surprisingly admitted that the infamous apology phone call she received from Spencer Pratt was fake. She said she was not on the other line for that phone call.
Lauren was asked by Elisabeth Hasselbeck, “Did you feel like it was a sincere apology when it came from him?” Lauren smiled, paused and rolled her eyes before answering – “To be perfectly honest, I wasn’t on the other end of that call,” Conrad replied. “That was filmed, and I wasn’t on the other end. So I didn’t even know about it until [it was on TV]. So, no, I didn’t get an apology. He lied.”
So why did she agree to go to their wedding if she never got an apology?
“It’s hard to understand now, but a long time ago — years ago — we moved here together, and we were best friends, and we used to say, ‘Some day at our wedding….,’” Conrad said. “I just felt like it was a few hours of my time, and as much as I didn’t agree with it, I might some day regret not doing it.”
So basically Spencer never apologized for spreading those sex tape rumors. MTV should just go ahead and call this show a soap opera instead of a reality show. Are people still watching this show? I pretty much stopped watching a few seasons back.
Honest to God, I am amazed that most people cannot figure out that MTV’s “The Hills” has not been scripted before LC talked on “The View” yesterday. No one, but the cast, could say where the lines are blurred, yet blurred they have been – since the show began. The production looks over the dynamics, then exploits and pushes the cast into situations that never would happen, otherwise. What amazes me the most is – Spencer Pratt being able to exploit “The Hills” and get away with it all, up till appearing on “I’m A Celebrity…” That was a real mistake for Spencer’s “brand”. Too many people that are not into “The Hills” were able to see what a complete idiot Speidi is. It was like ripping off the mask of the Lone Ranger, kind of thing. If “The Hills” production crew try and gloss over who Spencer and Heidi are now, no one will buy it. These two lovey-doveys have been totally exposed as self-centered airhead, brainless twits.
OCT 2009: I met Kristin Cavallari and she openly admitted that The Hills is completely scripted. People believe what they want to believe. The networks don’t give a crap, as long as the ratings are high; that’s all that matters.

I am disgusted to see such comment to that of the show ‘The Hills’. I am a co director, and it is not scripted. How dare you, the only reason why Lauren said it was, was becasue shes getting fired soon!
Haha, don’t be silly Tim. Your not a co director on anything. And – if you really are, stop being on websites blowing steam out your arse at people that have an opinion and start doing some (probably highly over paid) co directing and make the show good.
Who would openly admit to being a co director of crap? Tim is probably some 40 something single guy that works the graveyard shift at 7-11 and got his panties in a bunch because he doesn’t want to believe that the teeny bopper show he watches religously isn’t. Reality
Much of The Hills can’t possibly be
scripted. Since the characters dialogue
are so incredibly bland. Most of the
conversations are about whether someone
forgot to say hi, or didn’t smile at them.
Can you think of one funny, or compelling
story one character said? If a talented writer
were behind this show, I’m sure they would
come off a bit more intelligent.
I really don’t see why you guys take your time, to fight with people on if it’s scripted or not. It’s a show. People like it for it. Not because it’s scripted or not. Get over it.
