Atlanta ‘Housewife’ Lisa Wu Hartwell has decided to take her ex-husband, R&B singer Keith Sweat, to court in an attempt to gain custody of her 2 eldest kids.
“I’ve already been seeing them four or five times a week, but now the time has come when I want to have them with me full-time,” Lisa, 38, tells Star. “I immediately filed for an appeal after the verdict, but I was never given a court date in five years. I’ve been afraid of the judicial system, but I’m finally taking the bull by the horns and trying to get my boys back again!”
Lisa continues, “If Keith has a hang-up about our sons being on TV, I would be fine with that. But Real Housewives is supposed to be a reality series, and the reality is that all the fans watching believe I only have one child,” says Lisa, who appears on the series with her husband, Ed Hartwell, and their 2-year-old son, EJ. “Jordan and Justin understand what the show involves, and they’d love to do it. I adore all three of my sons — and I believe they all have a rightful place on the show.”

I feel for her. I really do, but she wants them to be on the show. there is no need for that. this show is not classy or has any positive message to send anyone of any kind. I heard her divorce was not pretty, and usually, at least in my state unless you have proof that the mother is unstable or neglectful. The mother usually gets her kids. Keith must have had something on this child. good luck with that.

Yeah, Jenny — you got that too. She didn’t say “I want my boys because I love them and I want us all to be one big happy family”. She said “I want them to be on the show with me”. Hmmm….is that mumbo-jumbo talk for “We’ll get more money if I have THREE kids on the show instead of just one”?
And how does Keith feel about the way Lisa is portrayed? She seems pretty hot-tempered, always talking about punching people and shyt, not to mention her explicit sexual stuff. Good luck getting the boys away from Keith after all these years, Lisa — especially after showing your ass on Bravo for a few years…
As a mother myself I cannot imagine not having custody of my kids. So he has had custody of the kids all this time? And NOW she wants custody after all this time?
Seems fishy to me….like she just wants to do this for the cameras. What mom would want to expose her kids on a reality show?
The fact that she didn’t even get custody is a BAD sign right there…..frankly I am thinking they are better off with dad.
IMO, if she has custody, she wont have to pay child support, and by now we all know that the ladies of “housewives” are strapped for cash. I’m just sayin…………….

Everyone knows it’s RARE for a judge to give full custody to a father over a mother, so what exactly is the story here?

Keith also has two little girls that he has custody of so the judge apparently found him to be better suited to raise children than the mothers.
I don’t see where children will benefit from this reality show, it’s about a step above Jerry Springer. What decent mother would want her children exposed to the comments from not only other children but other parents?
I hope Lisa isn’t granted custody, the children have been with their father for quite some time and to uproot them now to live with Lisa would be unsettling. Children need stability, Lisa’s house has just been foreclosed on and she hasn’t been successful in real estate. The boys are better off with Keith, he seems to know how to hold down a job and be a great father.
Put the children’s interest first, keep the boys with their father since he appears to be the more stable than Lisa.
what the fuck does it matter these are not our children, i dont lisa is a unstable mother i think that we should all worry about our own lives .cause some of us commenting on lisa do not have all our shit together..

Scared of the justice system??? Usually people are only scared of the justice system when they have something to hide. Sounds fishy to me. Big red flag when a mom doesn’t have custody of her kids!
If she wants her kids let her be. Dang! we dont know whats really going on with her an Keith’s custody battle. She obviously loves them, she spends time with them and acknowledges them. Lisa you seem like a great mom. Do you and forget what everyone has to say. It’s your life and family. People need to start worrying about their own.
I think Lisa should keep the kids because if she can handle her fashion line her husband and son then she is a fit mother no matter what, but it would be good if they had joint-custody.

sorry lisa, love you but ur lying….if you really wanted custody why didn’t you file years ago…u seem very strong willed and persistent and i find it hard to believe that you filed for custody five years ago and never got a response and you never inquired about it until now….very conveint that you are now on the show and you want your kids back….wow you guys are really hurting from ed’s retirement….
