It seems there was a good reason for Gretchen Rossi’s appearance at the American Music Awards on Sunday night. A new report reveals the Real Housewives of Orange County star is getting ready to launch her music career.
“I’m actually getting involved in the music industry,” said Gretchen while walking the AMA red carpet. In fact, Gretchen also brought along music producer Bryan Todd to the awards show.
Todd has produced music for the likes of Jordin Sparks and Ashley Tisdale. “We’re going to work together on some music stuff,” said Todd.
So does this mean stiff competition for fellow tone-deaf singing housewife Kim Zolciak? “Maybe,” she said. “You’ll have to wait and see. There may be some competition for Kim.”
It’s too bad that today’s technology makes actual talent irrelevant when it comes to singing.
I can’t wait for this one. I hope it’s every bit as disasterous and embarassing as Kareoke Kim’s foray into the music biz. They can join forces and be called the Pop Tarts.
Don’t they realize they are about 12-16 years past their prime as far as any kind of promotion of a music career goes? I could just picture a video of Gretchen trying to look sexy in a cheezy music video, like Jennifer Love Hewitt and so many dingbats before her. Of course Sludge would have to slither into it to reveal his man boobs.
My understanding is that Gretchen is a writer and owns a large publishing catalog and has recently been working on more music with producer Bryan Todd. She isn’t trying to be a singer. She wants recording artist to record her music.

This woman is clutching at straws. Hawk some cheap purses here, slap your name on generic makeup and sell it there, have a schlocky website where you’re selling your own clothes that aren’t there. And the final mark of the desperate — start recording crappy dance tracks. She has no plan. She’s throwing s*** against any wall she can find and hoping something sticks. As a result she’s made herself a joke. She should have stuck to modeling, done some workout videos and put her name on yoga and exercise stuff.
