So what’s a Bravo housewife to do when you find yourself the most hated housewife in Bravo history and your new book is being plagued by bad reviews online? Well, if you’re Jill Zarin of the Real Housewives of New York City, you log into your amazon.com account, change your name to Susan Saunders, and start leaving good reviews for your book. Unfortunately for Jill/Susan, she has been caught red handed by Gawker.com.
To make things worse for Jill, there is photographic evidence. According to Gawker, it all started when Jill someone going by the name of Susan Saunders decided to reply to a negative review. What Jill/Susan wrote is below courtesy of Zap2it -
This made some suspicious, and they decided to investigate by clicking on Susan’s amazon account profile, and low and behold, it turns out Susan Saunders’ Amazon.com account belongs to a certain Jill Shapiro. For those out of the loop, Jill Shapiro was Jill’s former name before marrying current husband Bobby Zarin. Jill’s daughter is named Allyson Paige Shapiro.
You might perhaps be thinking, that account might belong to another Jill Shapiro that isn’t our Jill. Fortunately that theory can be Debunked as this Jill Shapiro forgot to delete her wish list which includes items for a certain Bobby Zarin and a certain Allyson Shapiro. To make matters worse, when you visit Susan’s amazon profile, it shows her only amazon buddy as being David Zarin, who just happens to be Bobby’s brother. And oh yeah, Jill’s date of birth just happens to be November 30th as listed above.
Jill took to her facebook yesterday, accusing a crazed fan of making up the account. “Some crazy fans are saying I wrote my own review. I love the book, of course. People in my life have written wonderful things about the book. Some fans of the show need to find something else to do then write hateful things about me and my family. It is sad and I feel sorry for them. If you read the book and liked it, …please write positive reviews. Thank you for all the support!”
Gawker, a reputable news outlet, broke the story, not some crazy fans. And to Debunk the theory that a crazy fan might have made up this amazon account to frame Jill, it would be 100% impossible as Susan Sauders/Jill Shapiro’s account shows items were added to her wish list during 2001 for her daughter Allyson. Jill is sure doing her mumzy proud. She can’t stand the fact that her book bombed. Her first miscalculation was thinking that ANYONE would be interested in what her simple minded, overbearing mother has to say. She really should have kept mumzy’s secret a secret. Yeeeaaawwnnn. Thap thap thap.
She’s going after the negative attn. now by calling Bethenny’s baby a boy, knowing Bethenny didn’t want a boy. I bet she will blame mumzy for the Amazon yenta bitchfest.

I think that Jill has finnally lost her mind. I wish the show would get some real females that actually have some class. These women don’t even know how to dress with class. They all look like hooker’s. They are supposed to be intellegent and they are all acting like 15 yr olds. All of the real housewives show are the same. Women with no class showing that they really don’t have any class. And what is with all the drinking. They are all going to get liver damage and die from it. Stop the drinking especially Ramona who slurs her words and acts like a fool.
this jill is a snake loud mouth and never shuts up. all she could talk about andy on your show was about her book. heres another 2 things i cant believe is that you and fish lips sonia saying that luann can sing . her voice was disgusting and and thats with the electronic audio they did to make her sound better. it did not work. if she got a record contract they must have been deaf. also if i were glenn close i’d be greatly insulted. without that make up she’d be grosser.
WOWWWWW! Glad to know the truth about Jill Zarin. I watch the show and like so many other people was a fan until this season. I had no idea the extent of low she actually sank.
I thought giving fake reviews under a false identity was illegal? Or is that only if that is you’re a proffesional critic? I don’t remember all the details, but I remember something like this happening with a movie or tv show a few years ago? Or actually I think it was several movies/tv shows and it was a producer or something that was reviewing his own shows under a fake identity…. does anyone remember? Anyways, I thought that reviewing your own publication under a false identity to persway buyers to purchase your item was illegal……
This is all fake and made by either a disgruntaled fan or another housewife. Go look and you will see that Susan Saunders’ account on Amazon is up even after 3 months. With all the scrutiny don’t you think if it were Jill or her company she would take it down? It would have been instinctive to take it down. This is someone that wants it in for Jill and looking at all the stuff I have seen from a few other housewives I would think it is most likely them or one of their whacky fans. Just google the whacka-doodle housewives fans that have websites dedicated to not liking another housewife not that is very disturbing and says you have a lot of time on your hands.
The thing is it is likely an orchestrated effort to discredit Jill. The plan was done by someone who frankly is much smarter than she is. Sorry it had to be said I like her, but this was done by a far smarter person. Because no only did they pick a ridiculous fight with the #1 reviewer, but also they kept their name up after discovery for so much blame and had in the profile the daughters full name so you can google it. Max what were you thinking with all that! Could be him, but I don’t know for certain.
What I do know is looking at the wish list. Anyone can change their name and place in a fake profile name and fake profile. The wishlist could have belong to that person. But why would there be a “LEGO TRAK MASTER” item for a little girl. Ally was around 10 at the time and that set is for a BOY and a younger child.
Think people! For your 9 or 10 year old GIRL in NYC you are going to state her full name for everyone to see. Right! You are going to give her a strange toy for a GIRL. Have you seen JILL she is all about being a girl and pastels. Sorry it is suspect.

This is evidence of what is readily apparent by simply watching Jill Zarin on the show. She is a shameless self-promoter, climber, user. OF COURSE she was weeping big crocodile tears and trying to reconcile with Bethenny when she learned about the latter’s new show – she wanted to be a part of it, and she wanted to clamber all over Bethenny (in her absurd shoes) to get air time.
To answer the question: yes. Jill has lost it. The most recent season reveals far more than she may have bargained for. The way she grubbed for the birthday presents from Bobby was virtually a self-parody, and highly distasteful – not to mention tasteless.
To enumerate the horror of Jill this past season is too exhausting to contemplate – I’d be here an hour, and why bother? Suffice to say …she’s written her own obituary for her 15 minutes of fame.
