Plastic Surgeon Dr. Frank Ryan, who became well known for performing Heidi Montag’s 10 plastic surgery procedures in one day, has died in car accident on Monday in Los Angeles.
According to TMZ, Ryan’s Jeep steered off the Pacific Coast Highway and landed on the rocks below. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Even more sad, PEOPLE magazine is reporting today that Ryan, 50, was texting right before crash. His ex-girlfriend, Charmaine Blake, tells PEOPLE he was sending a Twitter message about his border collie right before the fatal car accident.
“He lived up in Malibu on a tiny street and he was texting while driving and he accidentally went over the cliff,” says Charmaine, also confirming to PEOPLE that investigators told Ryan’s family his Tweeting caused the accident.
As for Heidi, the Hills star had the following to say upon hearing the news of Ryan’s passing. “I am devastated to hear the news of Dr. Frank Ryan’s death,” she wrote on her Twitter. “He was the most amazing person I have ever known. He was an angel and changed my life and the lives of everyone he met. He was the most brilliant talented surgeon who will ever exist. Dr. Frank Ryan changed the world.”
RIP to Dr. Ryan, and let’s keep our fingers crossed that Speidi won’t exploit this to get publicity for themselves.
If that is true its a stupid needless way to die.
I hope this story gets lots of publicity. Just goes to show that if someone as dexterous as a plastic surgeon can’t text and drive, then nobody can.
One can only hope this sad news can save the lives of others.
I call it DREXTING and it’s dangerous….last week I was run off the road by a DUMB ASS BLONDE in West Palm..I chased her ass down in my truck and gave her the DIVA CUSSING….You best believe she wont be drexting again…..I think the bitch shit her pants !!!!!! I was so PISSED…..okay I am better now…

A while back when I lived in McLean, VA there were 2 college kids killed, on their way home to see family, and they were killed by an idiot texting. Also, when I lived in Great Falls, VA there was a lady killed, in her FRONT YARD, by someone texting. People need to learn that when they drive they have to pay attention to their driving! Nothing else, NOTHING ELSE, should matter and just concentrate on driving. People are going to kill themselves, or kill others, if they don’t pay better attention. Very sad.
Well if the EX girlfriend says he was tweeting and is already giving an interview to People, then it must be true.
Those Malibu roads can be dangerous and anything could have happened.

SPEIDI is already capitalizing on the publicity. They are not thinking about poor Dr. Ryan & his family, but are plotting and planning how to stretch this out for another 15 minutes of fame…soon we’ll be seeing SPEIDI on Larry King and the Talk Show circuit professing their loyalty to the “no cell phone zone” catch phrase of the year and jumping on the “TXTing kills” bandwagon because they know this is a red hot subject right now with all of America. It is gross how they will exploit ANYTHING.

TMZ has many photos of his mangled jeep where it came to rest on the rocks and something is very striking: you can tell from the way the sun glstened off the water it was a gorgeous summer day in malibu. his “baby” jill was found in the ocean with head, eye, and paw injuries but was rescued and taken to a critical care vet then to the Bony Pony Ranch where she is expected to recover 100% from her injuries but how sad that she is probably scared and wondering where her daddy is.
I urge people to look at these photos. If you think it cant happen to you….IT CAN AND WILL.

i hope that heidi isnt lying about his death if not i feel so sorry for his family and another thing why do people text and drive that is so stupid..they need a law about texting or talking on the phone while you driving
All I’m saying, is that just because the man tweeted a photo 20 minutes before he died, doesn’t mean he was on the phone texting when the crash happened. An animal could have run across the road that he swerved to miss, he had just done a massive up hill hike on the sand dunes, and could have had a heart attack that caused the crash.
So, the day after his accident for the argument to be that his texting killed him is unfair to his memory. How do they know he was texting the very moment he crashed? He may have been, but I don’t see such an intelligent man, who was enjoying a moment to himself with his dog to make such a stupid mistake especially driving on PCH (pacific coast hwy)
Personally, I think cell phones are the most annoying thing ever invented. They have turned people into total inconsiderate assholes. And I think we’d all be better served if we just shut them off.
