The Bravo network has finally confirmed what we’ve all known for weeks, which is that Danielle Staub is leaving the Real Housewives of New Jersey “forever.”
The confirmation came last night from Andy Cohen via a blog on Bravo. “The reunion was Danielle’s last appearance on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. We thought the hugs were a great way to end two seasons of bitterness between the women,” said Andy.
No reasons were given for Danielle’s departure from the show, though reports state that Danielle’s co-stars gave Bravo an ultimatum. As for Danielle, she is currently trying to get her own spin-off show. No word yet on whether any network has picked it up.
In other news, could Teresa Giudice be the next housewife to leave the New Jersey franchise?
According to a story by the NYPost today, that answer is very likely. The Post reports Teresa herself a friend of Teresa’s tells them “Teresa is done with Bravo, I don’t think any amount of money will make her come back.”
The reason? Apparently Teresa made a bad deal with Bravo over royalties from her cookbook, “Skinny Italian.” A source tells the Post Teresa is the only housewife in the franchise to give Bravo 10 percent of royalties from her book sales. In exchange, Bravo was suppose to make up the difference by promoting her book on the show.
She reportedly filmed several scenes with the book such as cooking and testing recipes, but as we all know, none of that footage was aired. The only brief mention of Teresa’s book came during the finale episode.

The NYPost story also confirms that Teresa hates her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga, who Bravo has reportedly signed on for season 3.
Plus, following the news that Teresa and her husband Joe Giudice are being accused of fraud and hiding assets in their bankruptcy filing, Popeater is reporting today that Teresa is “terrified” of going to prison and “would rather drop out of the show altogether than end up in prison because of something she lets slip on TV.”
A source also tells Popeater that Teresa would rather have Danielle back than have her sister-in-law on the show. “If Melissa does join, Teresa will quit for sure,” says the source.
UPDATE: Danielle is now speaking out on her departure from the show. She tells UsWeekly, “I’m way too good for this… They have used me about as much as I can be used.”
“I think it’s time for me to move on and upward,” says Danielle. “I don’t see any interest for me to be attacked like that.” She adds, “I mean, what’s left for [the other castmates]? To kill me? Bravo seems to be glorifying their behavior. And I think it’s almost like telling children to behave poorly at school, ‘It’s OK.’”
Danielle however makes it clear she wants a spin-off. “I want my own show,” she says. “I want to be me now. Not me according to other people. Me…a spin-off is absolutely, positively where I’m going.”

The funniest thing about her book was, ALbert Manzo’s comment about how when they went to Italy they ate like royalty and no one gain weight. Ha!!!!
First, you can eat ANYTHING and NOT gain weight if you eat in moderation and exercise, unless, you have a medical condition. Plus, everyone at the table was FAT and the 2 that are ‘losing’ weight had their stomachs surgically pinched.

IF Teresa really wrote/created the book then of course, we would of seen her working on it. I would of taped my scenes in the kitchen with my girls cooking. But No! ALL you had time this season for was Dani’s business.

I love Teresa; yes she is loud and crazy but she is real. I love how she plays the naive role sometimes it gives her juice as we would say in the old neighborhood. I hope she doesn’t leave the show. T is quite the firecracker

Melissa seems like a Teresa x 10. I think it would be a blast to watch those two have to work together. The bows would get bigger, the dresses would get uglier, the accents would become more nasal and the chinchilla would be a flying. And the Manzos couldn’t pick sides since it looks like they are close with both women.
I still want Elvira on the show.

For some reason I think Bravo tries to shield Teresa from most of the negativity on the bravo blogs. They haven’t posted any of my comments and if you read the comments they all say how much they love, love, love her. If you go to any other blog regarding her the comments are 90% negative toward her. very fishy.

Not for anything, and I’m sure not blaming Danielle for the circumstances of her own birth, but…given that she was born to a very young teenager who (wisely) gave her up for adoption, does Danielle REALLY know what vine she came from? I think she looks Jewish (not that that’s a bad thing), and I think she’s been trying to get “grafted in” all her life. I saw the segment. I don’t remember her actually SAYING she was Sicilian; I think the phrase was, “LIKE two Sicilian women.” I don’t believe it for a minute. If she was, she wouldn’t have needed the boxing lessons. My 6’9 bouncer ex-husband can tell you first-hand what happens when a little Sicilian girl has had enough.
although like everything elsee ms.Staub lies about, she did say that as far as she knew, her mother was a 15 (possibly 16) year old italian/sicilian girl who gave her up for adoption because of it wouldve disgraced her family or something to that nature. Either was everyone on that show is claming the whole italian/sicilan background. Theresa and joe are the only ones who actually can Speak the language which i very much appreciate. The manzo’s are of italian ethnicity, But the women albeit a italian surname, strike me as having the ancestry in the bloodline, but they are not direct descendants from authentic italians unless i missed an episode somewhere, where this was stated otherwise.
