Margaret Josephs is once again opening up about her departure from The Real Housewives of New Jersey. After a lengthy spell on the show, she announced she was leaving in March. The conflicts she had with Teresa Giudice were among the things speculated to be why. Margaret addressed her departure, saying, “It’s not Teresa.”
Margaret says that she doesn’t want to put herself in a position where things could explode. She adds that she shouldn’t have come back for Season 14.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum thinks she made “a mistake” starring last season
For her own sanity and well-being, Margaret had to leave the show. On the Shut Up! Tell Me More Podcast with Pat Comiter, Margaret said: “I made a mistake going back even my last season.” She says she was told she wouldn’t have to be around Luis Ruelas for her final season, which she wasn’t. Margaret did say that it wasn’t good for her to be around Luis or Teresa, but that the toxic environment also played a part.
It wouldn’t have surprised many if Margaret had stated Teresa or Luis as her reason for leaving the show. Margaret pointed out how they both said some very nasty things about her family. Luis even went so far as to wish her son would suffer. According to her, Andy Cohen called those moments the darkest on the show.
Margaret adds that her family also pushed her to walk away from the show, believing it wasn’t good for her to be in that environment. The cast of Season 14 of the RHONJ was split into two groups while watching the finale from separate rooms.
These days, Margaret is focusing on other ventures, such as her business and family. Her products at The Macbeth collection are sold worldwide at various outlets. In August, there was speculation that Margaret could usher in a new era of RHONJ.
