While the 4th season of the Real Housewives of New York City doesn’t premiere until February, one thing is apparent – which is that costars Ramona Singer and Luann de Lesseps are definitely not BFFs.
This became extremely obvious yesterday when Ramona, who also has a teenage daughter, re-tweeted a youtube video of Countess Luann’s 16-year-old daughter Victoria de Lesseps rolling up a joint and using the N-word.
Ramona deleted the tweet moments later, perhaps due to some of the backlash she received from fans on twitter or maybe someone advised her to. That reason is unclear but the damage was already done as news of the video quickly spread.
Though the youtube video has been taken down as of this morning, I personally viewed the entire 5 minute clip yesterday evening and Victoria appeared to be very high as she giggled and laughed her way through the 5 minute skype conversation with a female friend.
The shocking part of the video came in at about 4 minute mark when Victoria began to roll up what appeared to be a joint. Things then took a turn for the worst when Victoria uttered the N-word close to the 5-minute mark. In Victoria’s defense, she didn’t appear to be using the word as a racial slur. Though still ignorant, she seemed to be using it as a means to refer to her friend aka buddy, pal etc.
Victoria was also aware that her skype conversation was being recorded as she seemed excited at the thought of viewing the video in school the next day, implying she couldn’t wait to see her actions with a sober clear mind. No word on how the video made it’s way to youtube.
The NyMag.com also published a story about this and they were able to get a screen shot of Ramona’s re-tweet before she deleted it. That is below.

Ah the Countess, always keepin’ it classy! Didn’t she make an anti-Jewish remark a few times last season about how her ex husband would be upset about her dating a Jew?
If it’s true that Ramona just re-tweeted a video from a follower without looking at it, I can totally see that happening. Those RT’s on twitter are annoying and some people do it constantly and I hardly think they really read and look at everything. Stupid….but I can see it happening.
LuAnne’s daughter is 16 and is screwing herself. Ramona should of just laid back and watched LuAnne’s daughter crash and burn instead of throwing gasoline. LuAnne obviously thinks that she is better than others. Remeber i think it was season 2 where the count informed LuAnne that he wanted a divorce and there was a rumor that he was with an african princess when Andy asked her about this she claimed that it was made up by him so it didn’t look like he was dating any ole african woman but it you jazzy it up a bit by saying she was a princess it makes it better. LuAnne’s husband left her for a black woman. Elegence is learned, as is racism.
Oh Ramona. Ramona, Ramona, Ramona. Is she going to claim more “verbal diarrhea” on this one. I hope LuAnn decides to take a page out of her own book and be classy about it and keep quiet, best to just let it die down. Kids screw up. It’s hardly worth predictions of a doom and gloom future for Victoria, though it is unfortunate that this had to get out considering how competitive college admission is these days.

You can smoke a cigarette and get residue in your nose so you know that you can smoke marijuana and have thick residue in your nose. I think different things could had happened here 1) she could of RT it by mistake I done that myself 2) bravo had to do somethin w it to pump up the rates for february or 3) ramona act ramotional n decided to post it ! You ppl probably know this. More rich kids do nasty things than mid/poor class do. And this just proves it. For Ramona to of done this, so wrong. These are ppl I would never want to know. They have the money to have surgery and buy nice clothes, but they don’t use that same money to get REAL GOOD THERAPY to no be such nasty heartless people. I really don’t like LuAnne, but her daughter did not deserve this. Shame on all these grown women who don’t seem to spend too much time with their kids.
If LuAnne would have ever spent some time with her children, she might have known about her daughter’s pot smoking. Even her live in nanny/maid said “These people never raise their own kids.” They are always OUT and the kids are home with bbysitter/nanny/maid. Sorry situation.
She’s 16 and smokes some pot. I hate to say it, but you all need to talk to teens and remember when you were teens. It does not mean that she is a junkie. If it’s true, lets hope its a passing phase just like it was for most of you in high school or college.
