Paging Captain Obvious! The Skinnygirl herself, Bethenny Frankel recently told Life & Style: “I’m too thin.”
“Because I’m so busy, I’m not always hungry. I have to make myself eat more because of my busy schedule,” Bethenny explains. Perhaps, Bethenny who has always been thinner than the average gal and lately even more so, is becoming worried that her brand may suffer as a result of her recently very svelte appearance, as she expands into the skincare and shapewear businesses.
In the past fans have expressed concern over her dwindling frame. Or perhaps, she and husband, Jason Hoppy are hoping to add another little one to their family and she is concerned about her tiny frame making it difficult to conceive again? Mere speculation on my part.
Whatever it is that is responsible for her recent weight loss, Bethenny admits: “I have to eat more because I burn off a lot of calories,” adding that now she is eating more than ever in the form of sensible meals and even, desserts!? Well, not a whole dessert, but part of one! “I love dessert so I eat dessert,” she said. “If I had eaten a brownie five years ago, I probably would have had to have 12 brownies. Now, if I want a brownie, I’ll have a little bit of a brownie.”
Crediting her lifestyle, including being a mommy and running several business devoted to health and well-being, for making her realize how important it is to enjoy foods and alcohol in moderation, she reiterates -it’s all about a balance! “Girls put a lot of pressure on themselves to be skinny. They don’t understand that it’s not about a quick fix — but a healthy lifestyle.”
A healthy lifestyle that includes exercise, among other things (like low-fat alcohol). Yoga buff Bethenny released a yoga DVD last year and is often seen walking around Manhattan with her family.
Best of luck to Bethenny in getting her weight back on track to a place she is comfortable with.

Bethanny lost her appeal with all the whining on her show. She treats his parents with so much disrespect it’s disgusting. She is her own worst enemy, she treats Jason like the hired help. She talked about GINA like a dog, bez she eats food. This is the woman that took care of u n ur daughter. U were so dumb u could not put the babyseat in the car. After leaving u to take care of her medical, u berated here badly. U could have caused ppl not to hire her anymore. But ur dumd ass did not know what a teenage knew about babies. U better pray u don’t go back to where u were, bez nobody needs to be rude all the time. SNARKY COMMENTS GET OLD. U will be worst than ur mother, n ur daughter will tell the world what a rotten mother u were. Let’s see how bad that shoe will feel on ur foot. KARMA IS A BITCH, WHAT U GIVE U WILL RECEIVE. The NY Post reported Bethenny and Jason just closed on a nearly 5 million dollar 4 bedroom condo downtown today. I am no longer a fan, but she has come a long way since season one. She is singularly driven and success as followed. I can’t take it away from her.
During intense periods at work I am often too busy to eat, even though I have low blood pressure and it can trigger migraines. I know better and still it has happened many times.
If shes this thin and still talking about having one bite of a brownie, she definitely has food issues.
I think bethenny is bulimic. The chipmunk cheeks is an indicator.
Well of course she has food issues; remember her mother sent her to a fat farm as a kid. I think busy-ness is an excuse for what is really going on…could be bulimia? could be vanity? could be the fact that a chubbier person selling any “skinny” products ruins the brand. She is afraid to be an oxymoron. At any rate it is very difficult to any person in the spotlight looking less than healthy; any celebrity becomes a role model for others. My 10-year-old talks about being too fat (which she is not) and it is hard for me to teach realistic body image lessons. God bless her dynasty…providing alternatives to very caloric food/drink for those who need the “balance”. In the meantime, eat some more brownies….

I love Bethenny. She’s got a quick wit and is very intelligent, yet down to earth. I love her show.
Bethenny is a complete con artist, and most of her die hard fans are pathetically gullible followers who fall for all of her deception. She is only interested in her fans for the money. If you are a sharp person yourself and grew up with an edge, you have the gift of seeing when people are pulling the wool over your eyes. She’s the type of person that would throw her best friend down the river if it meant she could earn a buck. She is a shallow woman with no substance. She even has an emasculated husband…a bit effeminate and wimpy for my taste. She even has him looking like a skeletor. As a person who is into health and works in the fitness industry, I wouldn’t take her seriously or recommend or buy any of her products period. She does not portray to me, by no means, the look of a naturally, healthy individual.
The thing is if you are pushing products that are suppose to be healthy (except the alcohol drink) but not full of calories because you are trying to show women they can have a slim figure but not starve themselves, then you don’t use “skinny” in any of the titles. She did use “naturally thin” for one book, but that isn’t much better. Skinny and thin bring to mind the same thing, being underweight.
I think Bethany still has a problem with weight and I don’t know it has all that much to do with being busy. The titles of her books and her drink are, to me anyway, a clue she still hasn’t conquered that issue. It is hard to believe someone when they lecture about healthy eating, yet have products with the word skinny and thin in them.

I find it hilarious that anyone would think this article was anything but a plant by Bethenny to stay relevant until her show begins to air.
As if a reporter woke up one morning and thought, “You know, Bethenny is thin. I bet there is a story even though she has been thin for years now!”
@Matisse: I completely agree w/you. There was never a time when I liked her. I always thought she was rude, nasty and unattractive.
Jason is too whimpy for my tastes as well. She never does anything from a good place. Its always about a profit for her and getting more attention…the attention of idiots who believe the bullshit she is selling.
why do people who dont like bethenny attack her fans? i dont see that with other housewives, its quite odd. maybe some people can relate to even the tiniest part of her persona and that makes them like her. It doesnt mean they are gullible idiots. I like her but i dont use her products. I can see why people dont like her but I just dont get attacking her fans
@60 Cherrypopsicle and @61 Hudson Heights Girl thanks for being insightful! @62 Tanya85 if you are referring to the comment I made about her DIE HARD fans being so gullible…I stand by that comment and I am not attacking anyone personally. In my opinion, all of the women who revere and praise her and look up to her like she is indeed God herself, those are the ones I am referencing. If you enjoy watching her show or if you appreciate her snarky comments, then you are a fan, but you are not a DIE HARD fan…one who would probably cut off their right arm for the chance of meeting her. “Die Hard” also refers to all of her fans that constantly find a need to bash all of the other housewives that she worked with. Personally, I think I’ve only watched a couple of housewives shows out of mere curiosity, and I really don’t know all of the characters. But I know that there is a Jill, Kelly and LuAnne because her sick, nutty fans cannot just be happy for Bethenny, they feel the need to constantly harass and reference these women in a bad light. And because I am into human nature and human patterns, it fascinates me so much that Bethenny attracts such rude and hateful fans. I am a little older than Bethenny and I myself grew up around gamblers and con artists and know the characteristics all too well. Bethenny may have an outward, forward, charismatic, big personality but I can still see through the con artist. And if a con artist can con her fans than all the power to her but I’m just calling it as I see it. Now if it was Bethenny making a comment such as the one I just made…everyone would be bowing down to her and licking her feet because they would say “she is such a genius for bringing this observation to everyone’s attention”. Anyone who is that obsessed with another human has some serious issues. And that is my observation from being an observer of the human condition.
