While Olivia Longott has managed to stay out of the drama on this season of Love & Hip Hop, her costars haven’t been so lucky!
Following the Miami fight between Yandy Smith and Chrissy Lampkin, who might or might not be in desperate need of a hobby, Olivia is now speaking out about being stuck in the middle of both ladies. It turns out Olivia has actually known Yandy much longer than Chrissy.
In the interview with the Necole Bitchie blog, Olivia also gives us the status of her music career and talks being in love with her new beau! (A photo of Olivia and her new boyfriend is below.)
Here are excerpts from Olivia’s interview:
Ok, let’s get right into it. Do you feel caught in the middle of this war between Chrissy and Yandy?
You know what, I do. See, I’ve known Yandy for 8 years. From my Violator days. And we’re friends. And I’ve known Chrissy, well since we first started filming, so for 2 years now. But with Chrissy it was a fast bond. We just met and clicked and I was like ‘Yeah this is easy’. So when I found out Yandy was joining the cast, I figured because they knew each other though Jim, that it would be good. ‘This should be a breeze, there should be no drama.’ I was wrong. It’s caught me off guard. I do feel completely caught in the middle.
Is the situation repairable?
At one point I thought it was. I don’t know about now. But I do believe anything is repairable. One thing about Chrissy is when she does calm down, she will be like ‘You know what, I can give you one more try.” She’s not some unreasonable person. And I personally hope she’s not done with Yandy.
In your opinion, does one hold more blame than the other?
Coming from Chrissy’s side you can understand why she’s mad. I mean you see Yandy give her the book. But then you have to know Yandy. She really is a good person. Yandy really was trying to help. And then when we were at the showcase, and Yandy got up to dance to Mama Jones song…You have to understand Yandy has a great relationship with Mama Jones so why wouldn’t she show support and dance to her song? But then you can see why Chrissy’s mad. If you know the song is about Chrissy and you two aren’t on the best term right now, then you can see how Chrissy would take this as a diss. So it’s hard because both sides are equally right to both people.
You really are right in the middle.
I’m definitely in between them. Just know this, I won’t let them fight.
What’s going on with the music?
I’ve got my new single, which is doing very well. So I’m happy. I finally get to do the music I want.
What’s going on with the third deal? Are you still looking?
It’s difficult. We’ve had a lot of deals offered but we need the right deal. We’re mostly concerned with marketing and promotions. I feel like that’s where they went wrong with me. I was marketed as a rapper. But finally having the right management who knows how to manage R&B artists, we can finally do it right. But we’ve had big offers – for 3 albums, a singles deal – so the issue isn’t an offer, it’s waiting for the right offer.
Would you come back for a third season?
Man, I don’t know. I’m not sure there’s much farther you can take my characters. And I don’t know how much more I’m willing to open up. The editing annoys me. I’m not always crying like they make it seem. But then you have a good show about women in the industry. So I’m honestly not sure. We’ll see.
Are you dating?
I am. I’m happily in love.
Whoa. That’s quite a statement. Do I know this guy that’s got you so happily in love?
I don’t know if you know him. But we tweet each other all the time, we’re so corny.
Olivia’s boyfriend is Tarence Kinsey, who has played for NBA teams Cleveland Cavaliers and Memphis Grizzlies, and now plays in Europe. A photo of the two together is below!

While Olivia has managed to remain drama free on the VH1 show she hasn’t been so lucky in real life. Case in point, she managed to get into a nasty Twitter war with Jim Jones’ mom yesterday.
It all started when Mama Jones a.k.a Nancy Jones decided to tweet some not so nice things about Olivia. The reason? Nancy wasn’t too happy with the impression Olivia did of her on the show on Monday’s episode. While the impression seemed pretty harmless, Nancy did not see it that way. Below are some of Nancy’s tweets:

Olivia apparently had enough and decided to fire back at Nancy tweeting:
“I wanna respect my elders but 4some odd reason this old bag keeps fuckin w/me & aint nobody thinkin bout u so suck my dick *oliver voice*.”
“Man I’m tired of this bullshit I aint do shit 2nobody ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.”
CLASSY. Nancy has since deleted most of her tweets with some now saying perhaps her Twitter page was hacked. But that is highly unlikely as she also gave a recent radio interview in which she dissed Olivia. Olivia has also deleted her first tweet.

Mama Jones has had a problem with Olivia since the 1st season when Chrissy proposed to Jim. She asked Olivia was an engagement going on and Olivia tried to pour champagne down her throat and then lied. So in Mama Jones’s eyes Olivia already had a strike against her. And I have to say it was disrespectful for her to imitate Mama Jones no matter how small the imitation was. Instead of Olivia going in on Mama Jones she should have just apologize and said she didn’t mean to be disrespectful and left it at that. Olivia is in a lose lose situation when it comes to Mama Jones, Chrissy and Jim. Do you think they are going to take kindly to Olivia going in on Mama Jones, even if Mama Jones started it?!?!? Dumb move on Olivia’s part which is probably why her original tweet was taken down. Olivia needs to think before she speaks…

Seriously? Really? That was totally uncalled for on both their parts … MamaJones1 could have called Olivia, too. This woman continues to place herself in/on the “children’s” (I say children because they are not her peers) level. And if I remember correctly, Chrissy also imitated her on the show as a matter of fact, Chrissy said to Olivia, “wait, wait let me do it”. Where’s the anger towards her. I just saw the interview Chrissy, saying that the reason she didn’t get in a fight with Somaya, was because she’s just a little too grown for that.. I wish someone would ask why she wasn’t too grown to step to both Kimbella and Yandy? I am more incline to believe “grown” had less to do with her decision not to fight with Somaya than she may have suffered a “L” with fighting her.
She knows who to confront. But it would be better just to work on herself rather than work people over.
