Reza said he thinks of himself as the glue that holds the Shahs of Sunset cast together, adding, "Who would have thought the homo of the group would be the one standing up holding the signs for everybody, like 'Hello, this is where the Persians are at. We’re here.'"
While Reza might be slightly full of himself, he is responsible for Lilly's addition to the cast. Reza joked, "Oh my God, I have a magic genie lamp at home and I rub it really hard every night and I pray a skinny bitch will come out of it and Lilly popped out."
Joking aside, Reza explained, "Actually, I bumped into Lilly in the lobby of the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills and immediately I was taken aback by her appearance. I went up and I struck up a conversation with her. She asked me what I did. I told her I was in the real estate business. She told me she was looking for real estate and cut to after several hours of conversation I gave her a business card, we kept in touch. And then I slowly started introducing her to my group of friends. Then Bravo was there to follow all of that and chronicle it for everybody."
After longtime speculation that Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy wouldn't make it through the third year of marriage following a rocky and difficult second year featured on Bethenny Ever After, Bethenny finally announced the couple was separating.
The shocking part of the announcement was the timing! Bethennyrevealed the split two days before Christmas.
Bethenny has been coy about her relationship with Jason for months, even skirting the issue on a recent WWHL appearance. Multiple reports emerged that the couple broke up around Thanksgiving when they spent the holiday separately. Jason has been conspicuously absent from photos and Bethenny's twitter in recent months as well.
Many wonder why Bethenny waited so long to reveal that her marriage was over – and just why she timed it so close to the holidays? While I suspected it was so the news would get less attention in the wake of holiday related events, according to RadarOnline Bethenny just couldn't keep their separation a secret from friends and family any longer! She really expects us to believe their friends and family weren't aware they haven't been together for over a month? Ok then…
"Jason wanted to wait till after the holidays were over but Bethenny insisted that she could not carry on the charade of pretending to be a happy couple any longer, especially not in front of their closest friends and family," the source explains. "Basically, in the end Bethenny decided, no more secrets and lies – let's get it out in the open, for better or for worse."
I think the last term anyone would use to describe Real Housewives of Atlanta'sPhaedra Parks would be "wallflower." However, the outspoken Southern belle from Bravo's hit has been MIA lately, both on Twitter and on her show's blog. Many speculated that there was tension between her and Apollo Nida thanks to co-star Kenya Moore's relentless flirting with Phaedra's husband. Unfortunately, Kenya's inappropriate behavior has nothing to do with Phaedra's media absence.
Phaedra recently spoke out regarding her hiatus from all things social media, and my heart goes out to her. She now reveals that both she and her husband have both lost their maternal grandmothers. While I am sure both Phaedra and Apollo are grateful for having their grandmothers in their lives for so long, it's never, ever easy to lose a cherished family member, especially so close to the holidays. My positive thoughts are with both of them and their families.
I hope that all of our RT readers had a wonderful, stress-free, family-filled Christmas that was devoid of drama…or at the very least, I hope you got some really delicious grub. Of course, what would the holidays be without craziness and chaos? I guess that's what the housewives are for, right?
The Real Housewives of Miami may see their whirlwind season coming to an end, but they certainly aren't going anywhere in the tabloid world. First up, Marysol Patton is talking about all things season three. Sadly, her friend Alexia Echevarria is not having a great holiday. She's been faced with her youngest son's horrible car accident, and now she and her husband are being investigated by the IRS. The only good news for Alexia is that her oldest son Peter will escaping jail time for assaulting a homeless man earlier in the year. Wow and wow. Merry Christmas to him!
Well it's the day before Christmas, commonly known as Christmas Eve, and all anyone on the island of Anguilla wants is for Kenya Moore to get some help – and go home! Going on vacation with crazy people is one of those unfortunate drawbacks of being on Real Housewives of Atlanta, I s'pose.
Things begin with Kenya storming away after her massive argument with Porsha Stewart. Alas, no one could agree on who is the real tramp so they both stood up and started bickering about who is more fabulous. Answer: None of the above.
NeNe Leakes is cackling so loud that her evil plan to expose the real Kenya worked that I thought lightening would descend from the sky. Far more generously, Cynthia Bailey admits that a lot of the stuff Porsha said about Kenya's age would have made her flip out too.
NeNe is pleased as punch that there goes Kenya letting her crazy sprinkle out and finally explode all over the place. But Kenya has another surprising ally in Phaedra Parks. Phaedra admits that Kenya's ghetto behavior was out of line, but she likes Kenya and thinks she just lacks appropriate communication skills. Poor Kandi Burruss was in the hot tub and missed the whole thing. #priorities #kandikoatednights
Fast forward to Mike and Reza's business lattes, Reza self-righteously says, "That's crazy. Who does that in an office atmosphere?" Reza, honey… you do. Reza says he's done with MJ because she called him fat and sided with GG. He sounds like a child.
Lilly introduces us to her sister Yassamin. I have to say, Yassamin is smoking hot. And she's naturally gorgeous. I imagine Lilly is too… but it's hard to tell under 100 pounds of makeup, hair, and boobs. Lilly could benefit from a serious make-under. Lilly repeatedly mentions that she's the younger sister because most people incorrectly guess her to be the older sister.
Lilly, Coconut, and Yassamin go for a walk. While Coconut spins, Lilly asks her sister to join her at the group's next party. Yassamin doesn't understand why Lilly would want to hang out with these people…specifically with MJ and Omid, who have offended Lilly in the past. Clearly, Yassamin doesn't know how reality TV works. To us, Lilly voices her concern about seeing Omid since he threatened to back hand her the last time she saw him. She says, "I'm a little worried that he may throw another line like that at me, and my sister, being my older sister is going to get defensive. My sister is a f-ing tiger."
Oh, it seems like at least one couple from Teen Mom is really trying to make it work! I'll admit, most of the girls from both Teen Mom franchises make really stupid decisions and do totally dumb things–even when they have an amazing support system. None of them seem to be in healthy relationships except for Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra. Surprisingly, this pair had the most stacked against them…her mom was an addict, his dad was in and and out of jail, and they ended up becoming step-siblings when her mom and his dad entered into a tumultuous marriage. It's enough to mess up any teen couple. Or anyone, for that matter!
However, Catelynn and Tyler are different. They've been together since the seventh grade, and, realizing that their daughter could be raised in a much more stable environment, they decided to choose adoption. They are the only couple in the history of 16 & Pregnant and Teen Mom to do so. While they've definitely struggled in their relationship (Catelynn needs a lot of reassurance), they seem to be committed to one another and are now engaged. Even if Catelynn and Tyler don't make it (I really hope they do), they are more mature than all of the other Teen Moms (1 and 2!) put together. That may not be saying much, but I still think they still think they are head and shoulders above their counterparts.
I'll admit, I laughed a bit when Tylerdecided to move to New Orleans to focus on his acting career–mainly because he went to New Orleans and not New York or Los Angeles…or even Wilmington, North Carolina! When Tyler decided to fulfill his dreams, he and Catelynn vowed to make their relationship work long distance. Now, the couple is reunited for the holidays.
