West Virginia Mayor Is Happy About BUCKWILD Cancellation

As we previously reported, MTV has decided to cancel BUCKWILD in the wake of Shain Gandee's untimely death
 
Personally, I found Shain to be the breakout star of the show, and I cannot imagine watching a single episode void of his beautiful smile and endearing personality. My gut tells me that MTV feels the same way.
 
While BUCKWILD's producer and cast are upset about the cancellation, the mayor of Charleston, West Virginia is blissfully happy. "I'm relieved and happy the show is canceled, and so is everyone around here," Mayor Danny Jones shared with TMZ. "The show does nothing for us and exaggerates every negative stereotype about us."

BUCKWILD has been a controversial endeavor for MTV since day one. Prior to its debut, Senator Joe Manchin complained about the "repulsive" and "shameful behaviors" of the cast and (unsuccessfully) asked MTV to halt production.
