Well, I can honestly say I never saw this coming…or at least, I never thought a resolution would come as quickly as it did…a year and a half after it started. Are you sitting down? Okay, I'll give you a second to find a chair. Ready? Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy have finally settled their custody dispute over four-year-old daughter Bryn.

I know, right? I, too thought their nasty battle would last at least until the poor child was in high school!  Thankfully, the litigious former reality couple was able to settle their differences. While the settlement terms are sealed, it seems that Bethenny may have conceded a bit.

As you recall, Bethenny was asking for sole custody of the pair's only child and wanted to be able to make all the major decisions in Bryn's life without having to consult her not quite yet ex-husband. The dispute has been raging on full force since before December 2012 when Bethenny filed for divorce.

Without question, the twosome is extremely polarizing. Bethenny's fans are just as loyal as her detractors are hateful. I certainly can't decide if Jason's just a happy-go-lucky guy who got caught up in a whirlwind which ended horribly or if he's manipulated the situation to make himself look like the ultimate victim. After all, Bethenny was reportedly in tears when she took the stand last week, claiming Jason promised to destroy her. I'm in a pickle when it comes to figuring out both of them.

According to Gossip Cop, Jason's attorney released a statement that makes it sound like his client got what he hoped to accomplish. Jason's lawyer shared, “My client is delighted that this custody battle has been resolved; that his co-parenting status has been acknowledged; that the parties’ child will have the benefit of being raised by both parents; and most importantly, that his daughter will no longer be at the mercy of a high-profile courtroom battle."

His attorney continued, “Jason wishes Bethenny only the best of luck, and he looks forward to sharing with her all of the joyous occasions, milestones and blessings that will be coming up in his daughter’s future.”

Yeah, I'm sure they both look forward to co-parenting and everything from here on out will be hunky dory. Good luck, Bryn!
