Mariah Carey Slams American Idol; Calls it Worst Experience of Her Life!

Mariah Carey performs during a live taping of the 'Live! with Kelly and Michael'

Mariah Carey is keeping it real in a recent interview with Australian KIIS FM hosts Kyle and Jackie O on Thursday. Real nasty, that is! When asked about her time as a judge on American Idol, Mariah bluntly described the show as “so boring and so fake.”As a judge on season 12 of the show along with Randy Jackson, Keith Urban and (on-screen nemesis!) Nicki Minaj, Mariah says she “felt forced to make up stuff about the contestants and their performance to keep the show going,” according to Page Six.

Adding a halfhearted apology before another insult, Mariah added, “I’m sorry, I just think it’s … when I say it’s fake … I mean like you have to make up things to say about people.” Claiming that, at times, the judges don’t have a whole lot to say about the performers, she explains, “Half the time the performances are good, you just be like ‘it was good’ and you feel like ending it there: ‘You were really good.’”
