Now that Tristan Thompson got busted for cheating again, he has to put his tail between his legs and face the music. News broke that Tristan, who refused to claim that he fathered a child with Maralee Nichols, is in fact, the father. Like she said. While I understand the need for a paternity test to establish child support, I think we all could have guessed the end result.
Since being caught, Tristan issued a statement via his Instagram stories. He claimed responsibility and apologized to Khloe Kardashian, who he was in a relationship with at the time of his tryst with Maralee. His statement read, “Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols. I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established, I look forward to amicably raising our son. I sincerely apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately.”
And his lackluster apology for Khloe went something like this, “Khloe, you don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you.”
Now it’s Maralee’s turn to talk. Her rep delivered the statement to E! News which said, “There was never any doubt that Tristan Thompson was the father of Maralee Nichols’ baby. Tristan made numerous false and defamatory statements and declarations about Maralee over the past few months, and she is taking his contrite statement today in the context of all of those statements.”

It was only last month that Maralee addressed the rumors about her relationship with Tristan. Said Maralee, “He told me he was single and co-parenting. I would never have gotten involved with Tristan if I thought he was in a relationship.” Yep, sounds like Tristan. She added, “Over the past couple of weeks, many inaccurate and false stories have been circulated about me. I have not at any point released—nor have I directed anyone else to release—any information regarding Tristan Thompson or any litigation involving him. I have never spoken to any media outlet, nor have I leaked any information to anyone at any time. I am providing this statement because I feel I must defend my character.”
So now that Maralee proved to be right, like we knew all along, where is the apology to her?
TELL US – WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT MARALEE’S STATEMENT? DID YOU HAVE ANY DOUBT THAT TRISTAN WAS THE FATHER? WHAT DO YOU THINK KHLOE WILL END UP SAYING ABOUT ALL THIS?
