Do y'all miss Brooke Bailey on this season of Basketball Wives: LA? That's what I thought. While Brooke was likeable on the show, I didn't feel like she had much of a story line unless she was fighting with Jackie Christie or feuding with former friend Draya Michele. She just didn't seem to be around a lot.
Of course, don't feel bad for Brooke no longer being featured on everyone's guilty pleasure of a train wreck. Wanting to set an example for her two children, Brooke has gone back to school and is focused on her new cleanse and lingerie line. Would she consider reality television again? Well, what do you think! As long as it's drama-free! Drama-free reality television? That's an oxymoron if I've ever heard one!
Bad Numbers: 2.072 million fans watched Keeping Up with the Kardashians this week. That's a 500,000 drop from last week's over-hyped proposal show. Part two the Shahs of Sunset reunion garnered 1.044 million viewers. Do you think Shahs of Sunset will return with a season average of 1.272 million?

Well, it's a good thing that Laura Govan isn't returning to Basketball Wives: L.A. because breaking the law doesn't make for a good story line! Oh wait, this is VH1, so yes, yes, it probably does! Laura was just slapped with a lawsuit which alleges she violated federal law. That's never good!
Sometimes I feel sorry for VH1. It tries, it really does. The networks problem is saturation. One reality series is going well? Let's copy it in film a franchise in every state! These basketball players' wives are causing major drama and enticing viewers? Let's find more basketball wives? Wait, there aren't any? Well, that's okay! Let's find some women who maybe dated, had a baby with, or got an autograph from an NBA player. That's the same, right?
You know where I'm going with this, don't you? It's time to welcome back the women of Basketball Wives: L.A. to our televisions! It seems like they've been gone forever…and I haven't really missed them, to be honest. We'll see some new of our old favorites (is Draya Michele's new beau dating Jackie Christie's daughter too?), and some new faces who are already fitting right in. One of the new ladies has an online business with an "F" rating from the Better Business Bureau! Sounds about right!
I'm not going to say, "I told you so," but only because VH1 doesn't seem to listen to what I have to say. After all, it brought back the original Love & Hip Hop, didn't it? It seems the network is hell bent on reviving Basketball Wives: LA with new ladies and new drama. Shocking, I know.
The new crew, along with some veteran cast members, are currently filming the upcoming season, and things among the ladies hasn't been all "raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens" if you get my drift. Now, gossip is swirling that the oftensometimes slightly more even-keeled than the rest Draya Michele may have peaced out before the season concluded.
Good ol' Wacky Jackie is up to her antics yet again, and this time she's channeling her inner E.L. James! Basketball Wives: LA star Jackie Christie recently launched her new book Sexual Relations: A His & Her Guide to Greater Intimacy, but she's not planning to stop there!
No ma'am. Jackie has bigger plans than reality television and kinky tomes. She's moving on to film, y'all! Just wait until you hear about Jackie's latest project!
They'll be back before you know it! Yes, I'm talking about the less violent but equally ridiculous compared to their counterparts women of Basketball Wives: L.A. VH1 seems to have us in some sort of choke hold with these girls, yet I don't fight it. Odd, I know.
With some new cast members in the mix (and the Sisters Govan departing), hopefully there will be some new excitement in BBW: LA (read: not boring as heck). Not surprisingly, the show's breakout star Draya Michele is all about promoting the series (and herself of course) to whoever will listen.
