Calling the trip neither fun nor drama-free, Melissa accuses Jacqueline of ruining it straight outta the gate! “I’ve said it before and it’s becoming more apparent that Jacqueline is WAAAY too invested in everyone else’s business,” she says. “She wants us all to believe her meddling ‘comes from a good place,’ but honestly, good for who?”
At this point, putting your name on products is customary for Real Housewives and Housewives alums. However, I can’t help wondering how involved these women are was “designers.” The only one that I’m not doubting when it comes to slapping her name on a product is Caroline Manzo who is making her own soaps in her kitchen. She is probably the only one that actually has a hand in making her own products and now you can buy Caroline’s soaps on Etsy.
Since Caroline is known for cooking up massive Italian meals for her family, I figured she would focus on something food related, so the soap selling seems a little random to me, but I guess it is made in her kitchen so that does make sense. And I really do think it’s nice that she is so genuinely involved in her own business, which is not always the case for these reality stars.
In her blog, Teresa shares that she’d hoped for a nice relaxing getaway to Vermont. Instead, there was “drama, drama and more drama!” Having made up with Jacqueline before the trip, Teresa hoped her frenemy would behave herself. “But everything that happened with her on this episode made me start to question her again. Whenever there was drama on this episode, Jacqueline was involved,” she admits. Too true.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey has been super dramatic, but there is definitely some dead weight if I’m keeping it real. You can fill in the blanks on this one, but in my opinion Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, and Jacqueline Laurita, all make great TV, and then there are the other ladies…. I mean, people actually attacked Melissa’s 21-year-old store manager Derek Zagami, who was not even present, to get a story line. And now he is not working there anymore, is that a coincidence?
Really though. As much as I love this show (and I’m obsessed) the casting is just not 100%. Sure, I like the other cast members as people, but that doesn’t mean that they have what it takes to be entertaining on reality television. So I would actually love it if Danielle Staub returned. And believe it or not, Teresa actually agrees that Danielle should make a comeback. Wait. What?
The reunion episodes are usually pretty epic on Real Housewives of New Jersey, so I don’t blame Dolores Catania for being nervous before she films her first one. Apparently she is so nervous that she is thinking ahead – and I’m not just talking about what she plans to say, she is also doing whatever she can to look her best and that includes getting a cosmetic procedure on her booty.
That seems like a lot of effort considering that she is going to be sitting the entire time – unless Dolores breaks out of character and decides to get up and storm off. Not only that, but the ladies usually wear long dresses so I’m really not seeing the need to get any kind of procedure specifically to film this reunion, but it could just be more of a confidence boost type of thing for all I know. She opened up about her reunion trepidation and why she decided to fix (what she perceives to be) problem areas before the ladies get together to film.
To Vermont we go! To Vermont we go… You can take the girls out of Jersey but you can’t take the Real Housewives Of New Jersey out of the girls! Even if you put them in big giant snow boots and plain old terry cloth bathrobes. Last night also signified the return of Kim D (for Desperate!), which in my book is always a good thing! Run on with the big boys, Kim, run on!
Melissa Gorga has lofty ideas to turn the trip to Vermont into one last relaxing weekend for Teresa Giudice before Joe goes to prison and Teresa becomes a single mom. Melissa even invited Teresa’s close friends Robyn and Christina. Unfortunately, Teresa’s girls weekend is beset by problems from the get-go. Two of those problems are named Kathy Wakile and Rosie Pieri.
