Frank Catania Sr. reportedly won’t be filming for Season 15 of Real Housewives of New Jersey. Bravo has started work on the latest season after months of speculation about the future of the franchise.
Frank isn’t an official Housewife, but viewers have seen him on RHONJ for years. Family scenes with his ex-wife, Dolores Catania, group events, and his frequent involvement in the drama turned him into one of the show’s most recognizable supporting players.
A new report points to someone else as the reason Frank isn’t filming. Of course, this isn’t an official Bravo announcement, so take it with a pinch of salt…
Teresa Giudice is accused of getting Frank Catania cut from the show
Frank remained part of the RHONJ world for years, popping up season after season alongside the rest of the cast.
However, an insider claims Frank’s run may be over for now. “He is not filming for season 15,” the source told Reality Blurb.
The insider blamed Teresa Giudice. “Teresa did not want him to be a part of the show,” the source alleged. “She is still mad at what he tried to bring up at the season 13 reunion about Luis [Ruelas].”
The insider pointed to the Season 13 reunion. Frank tried to revisit questions about Luis and Frankie Catania Jr.’s brief working relationship. Dolores quickly shut down the conversation before it gained any momentum.
“He got another job. And that was it,” Dolores said. “This ends right here,” Dolores declared.
Frank and Teresa continued clashing afterward. During the Season 14 premiere, viewers learned Frank had told Teresa and Luis about a cast meeting before the Season 13 reunion. Later, at the Season 14 reunion, Frank accused Luis of hiring private investigator Bo Dietl to gather information on the cast.
“Teresa still is angry about what Frank did or tried to do to Luis, and thus did not want him being a part of Season 15,” the insider added. “And she got what she asked for.”
“It’s interesting that Dolores still is sticking by her regardless of this,” they also shared, “as Frank is technically her family via their children. But, Dolores always seems to have Teresa’s back and won’t go against her, so it does track.”
The insider also suggested Frank could lose endorsement opportunities and exposure by appearing less on RHONJ.
