Chris And Jacqueline Laurita: New Movement In Signature Apparel Bankruptcy Case

It's mind-boggling that it has been almost five years since Signature Apparel Group filed for bankruptcy!  The company, owned by former Real Housewives of New Jersey star Chris Laurita and his brother Joseph filed for bankruptcy in late 2009, despite having record income of $250 million during the years of 2005-2009.  The bankruptcy has been held up by a number of a issues, namely the accusation that the Lauritas frivolously spent eight million dollars for personal use.

According to the complaint at the time, Chris and Joseph were accused of "draining the company of all its funds and assets in order to support their families’ increasingly opulent lifestyle of private jets, limousines, extravagant parties, premium automobiles, designer clothing, ostentatious home furnishings and lavish vacations,” the complaint filed November 2, 2010 alleged. “Signature’s assets were misused to make outright and unjustified payments to Laurita family members, and to fund the operations of the Laurita brothers’ other companies and business ventures.”

For the first time since Melissa Gorga joined Real Housewives of New Jersey, family feuding will not dominate the storyline. Of course, that just means there's room for other feuds! With non-family members. Oh goody.

This year twin sisters Nicole Napolitano and Teresa Aprea join the cast, along with Melissa's former friend Amber Marchese (pronounced Mar-CHEESY - how perfect, amirite?!). And, of course, Dina returns now that her family members have been kicked off the show.

"I think they fit in really well. It's fresh and different," Melissa tells WetPaint about the new cast members. "But it's a bumpy road… There's a lot of things you won't expect to happen."

Dina Manzo is making her triumphant return to the Real Housewives of New Jersey this season. But don't expect to see any of the family fireworks and drama we got to see in season one, when Dina shared the screen with sister Caroline and sister-in-law Jaqueline Laurita.

But don't blame Dina for her family not being a part of season six. She spoke with US Weekly recently and says she had nothing to do with their absence.

Caroline Manzo has always been known for telling it like it is. Especially when it comes to her children. So her reaction to her son wanting to get a motorcycle should not come as a surprise to anyone.

The former star of the Real Housewives of New Jersey took to Twitter to open up about what advice she gave her oldest son, Albie Manzo, when he expressed interest in purchasing a motorcycle.

"My son @albiemanzo wants a motorcycle. Asked my opinion – Told him to wait till I die."

So what did Albie say in response?

Teresa Guidice took to Twitter and Instagram to pay tribute to her late father-in-law this weekend. As we previously reported, Joe Giudice's father passed away suddenly on June 18, while at Teresa and Joe's home.

The troubled reality star's crisis manager, Wendy Feldman, told US Weekly that "Joe and his dad were chasing the dog Simba and suddenly Franco fell ill." She also noted that they are focusing on "their family right now, especially the girls."

Teresa and Joe Giudice

Well, it looks like Apollo Nida is the only RH star that will be sentenced for fraud charges on July 8th!  The U.S. Attorney's office confirmed today that sentencing for The Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Joe and Teresa Giudice has been pushed back to September 23rd, 2014.

The move has nothing to do with yesterday's death of Joe's dad Frank.  The U.S. attorney's office confirms that the schedule change is due to an administrative issue and Rebekah Carmichael of the U.S. Attorney's Office shared, "It was not moved because of any other factor."

Real Housewives of New Jersey Teresa Joe

Joe Giudice's dad, Frank Giudice, died this afternoon at the age of 63, reportedly of a heart attack.

Reports are coming in which claim that Frank was building a chicken coop in the backyard and collapsed, and passed away on the scene.  No other details are available at this time.

Our thoughts are with Teresa and the Giudice family.  This has been a rough year for the family.  Granted, they brought the legal drama upon themselves, but those poor girls are facing losing their parents for a few (or more) years and now they've lost a beloved grandfather, too.

As the Giudices are less than a month away from their sentencing hearings both are embracing denial in a different way. For Joe Giudice he is using his precious time to party and possibly cheat!

It's all but certain that Joe will serve jail time related to their 2013 fraud indictment and instead of staying home to cherish the moments, he's out on the town and "ignoring" his family. And Teresa Giudice is not happy! You know what they say: psychotic wife, unhappy life!

Teresa feels like Joe should be spending every minute that he can with her and their four girls, but he’s still doing his own thing, doing stuff with the guys and she’s getting really frustrated,” a source confided to Radar Online. "She doesn’t understand why he can’t just stay home with their girls and with her. She wants to know why he’s ignoring them." Well, would you want to spend time with Teresa?
