teresa giudice and joe giudice sentencing

Teresa Giudice was pulling out all the last-minute stops to get out of her impending 15 month fraud sentence, including having her new attorney petition the judge to let her serve 12 months of her sentence in a halfway house. But today a judge said No way – you did the crime, now you do the time!

The prosecution immediately opposed the Real Housewives Of New Jersey star’s petition and Judge Esther Salas agreed. She told Teresa she will not recommend that she serve the bulk of her sentence in anything less than a prison.

Her main reason is, like with everything else, Teresa’s disorganization shot her in the foot! The judge told Teresa that she and her former defense attorneys (the ones Teresa implied didn’t do their jobs) should have made that request at her October 2nd sentencing instead of weeks later by letter. Of course. at that time, Teresa believed she wouldn’t do time. Oops.

RHONJ season finale Amber Marchese

Real Housewives of New Jersey scholar Amber Marchese changed it up for her last essay of the season: short and sweet. Yeah, that’s a lie, but isn’t it a nice thought? Amber’s blog is more of the same ‘blah, Dina Manzo sucks, The Cancer, Jim Marchese is a Spartan Warrior, The Cancer, Bobby Ciasulli is a bad friend, blah’ endless nonsense she treated us to all season.

“We made it Housewife friends!” cheered Amber. “As it was my rookie season, I felt like I was being hazed in a sorority, but as hard as it was, I made it!”

“I learned so much about how strong I am as a person and some areas that I can work on. I learned that I really do have a ‘no surrender, never retreat’ mentality. I will go to bat with anyone, at any time, and will defend myself and my family at all cost. I also witnessed the undying love that my husband has for me and his family. He was not going to let anyone hurt me and will unleash hell if someone tries. He is truly my modern day Spartan warrior.”

 jacqueline laurita appears on wwhl

Jacqueline Laurita is returning to Real Housewives Of New Jersey again for the 7th season. Her reason: to finally have a showdown with estranged sister-in-law Dina Manzo!

Man – this a a page right out of the Melissa Gorga playbook! And hella desperate for some TV time

Rumor has it RHONJ season 7 has already started filming so they can capture Teresa Giudice as she heads to prison, and then focus on Joe Giudice as he tries to juggle a life without Teresa. And apparently, Jacqueline has signed on again so she can… talk about Teresa?! I mean, that’s been her storyline for like 4 seasons now, basically ever since Danielle Staub left when Jacqueline’s storyline was to talk about her.

RHONJ season finale Teresa and Melissa

Real Housewives of New Jersey wrapped up season six with Jim and Amber Marchese, Rich and Kathy Wakile, Rosie PierriChris and Jacqueline Laurita, Bobby Ciasulli, and Nicole Napolitano reacting to Joe and Teresa Giudice being sentenced to 41 months and 15 months, respectively, in prison.

Noticeably missing from the reaction shots were Dina Manzo, Melissa Gorga, and Joe Gorga. Melissa took to her blog to explain why she didn’t let cameras into her home that day and throw a little shade at those who did.

Addressing the fans of the show, Melissa said, “We’ve been through so much together throughout the years. It’s not always easy being on reality TV. I’m not complaining, because obviously I signed up for it, but there are times I wish I could turn it on and off. Unfortunately I don’t have that option, so here we are.”

dina manzo hosts project ladybug charity on rhonj

If only Real Housewives Of New Jersey were as exciting ON TV as it is off TV.  As we all know Dina Manzo is like a reproductive breeding ground of zen (zensanity!) and Jim Marchese is like… a breeding ground for mass destruction of Housewives on a whole ‘nother level! Needless to say, they don’t really get along.

The two have been sparring for a while but they really got into it at the RHONJ reunion. And then Dina and Jim really, really got into it on twitter! It got so intense that Dina has stated she will not return to the show.

The latest drama started when Jim started making accusations bout Dina’s charity Project Ladybugjim marchese accuses project ladybug of being shady

Watch What Happens Live - Season 11

Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice sat down with Andy Cohen the day after their sentencing in federal court to share their initial reactions to their mortgage fraud sentences.  Bravo broke the interview with the Real Housewives of New Jersey stars up into two parts, but it still wasn’t enough time to include every bit.  This week they released two more clips that were cut from the original airings.

In the first one Teresa attempts to explain what she meant by “I don’t understand why this is happening to us.”  She also tries to plead her case about her respect for the law and how she’s going to pay back the $400,000.   In the second video they take a few calls from viewers.  And she goes on and on again with the ‘victim’ stance of how the biggest lesson she learned from this whole mess is to never sign things without asking an attorney to explain them.  She also talks about how this is just a blip in time and they’ll get through this and move on with life.

Heather Dubrow

The season 6 finale of the Real Housewives of New Jersey featured Joe and Teresa Giudice‘s federal prison sentencing. Joe was sentenced to 41 months and Teresa was sentenced to 15 months in federal prison.

After Teresa was sentenced and all the bigwigs sat around wondering what to do now, I was like, “Um, FIRE HER?!?” I mean, seriously! I was not shocked, however, to learn that a pink slip wasn’t on the list of options.

In a recent interview, the Real Housewives of Orange County star Heather Dubrow expressed her utter shock over Joe and Teresa lying to the court and called out Bravo for keeping the convicted felons on the payroll.
