Pretty much every Real Housewives show has a cast member with financial issues and a shady real estate situation. On Real Housewives of Potomac, Karen Huger is the one taking on that role with her secret move to Great Falls and her insistence that her husband is the “black Bill Gates.”
Nothing adds up, and Karen‘s costars accuse her of lying and living way outside of her means. In her blogs, on-camera interviews, and even in her interviews after filming, Karen adamantly denies money issues and just claims to want her privacy… even though she is the one who signed up to share her life with a reality TV show. Now she is teasing the mystery will be resolved when the reunion airs.
In her blog, Ashley explains why she ended up attending Karen’s “exotic” anniversary party after almost not being invited (and all but begging to be): “I would have had a serious case of fomo (fear of missing out) if everyone else got to see Karen’s new digs and I didn’t. Even still there were dangling question marks just waiting for answers.”
Even though Karen Huger is obsessed with discussing her self-proclaimed position as the Grand Dame of Potomac, it is obvious to anyone with eyes that her financial situation is beyond shady. It is clear that she is overcompensating for something and apparently this something is actually millions of dollars in unpaid taxes.
Apparently, her husband Ray Huger, who she has the audacity to refer to as “the black Bill Gates,” and his company owe millions in back taxes. That definitely lines up with her story line from this Real Housewives of Potomac season.
Congrats, viewers! We survived season two of Real Housewives of Potomac and oh my, how things have changed around these parts. In season one, etiquette as outdated as Karen Huger’s kitchen was the name of the game and she was the Grand Dame of it all. Charrisse Jackson-Jordan was just starting to get an inkling that her husband not showing up for months on end might mean her marriage is on the rocks. Ashley Darby was still having regular sex with her sugar daddy husband and only using his money for shopping as opposed to running a restaurant into the ground. Robyn Dixon was pretending that her marriage/not marriage was totally normal. Ok, well that hasn’t changed. Neither has Gizelle Bryant hilariously sizing up any newcomers who have the nerve to be younger and have more money than she does. Enter Monique FIVE HOUSES Samuels, who is exactly that – younger, richer and oh, relentlessly braggy about everything in her life.
Although it’s a holiday weekend here in the U.S, Bravo is airing a new episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac for us tonight! If you’re around this evening and not busy BBQ’ing and camping, join us here in the comments for a virtual viewing party.
Tonight the Potomac women question everything about Karen Huger‘s sudden move after she reveals her new home is in Potomac. Things feel fishy and the ladies are angling for answers!
Like most viewers, I wasn’t thrilled when I heard that Real Housewives of Potomac was returning for a second season, but it’s definitely way better than most of us expected. But some of the ladies are trying way too hard to get screen time. Robyn Dixon has opened up about the difference between filming Season 1 and Season 2.
She even calls out costar Ashley Darby for stirring the pot this season in a quest to make the show more interesting. She explains how Karen Huger is acting differently after Season 1 and she reveals some shocking information about Juan Dixon’s family.
As the Real Housewives of Potomac comes to a close, it’s clear that most of the cast is gunning for Karen Huger. Charrisse Jackson-Jordan had beef with her over hosting a Bermuda trip, which is a dumb and boring story line, and now everyone is coming at the self-proclaimed Grand Dame of Potomac for her mysterious real estate situation.
The finale is approaching and the preview shows Ashley Darby leading the cast to come at Karen for her shady finances. As per usual, Karen is acting like she isn’t bothered by any of these people and their antics.
