Simon Cowell will be taking over Howard Stern’s position as a judge on America’s Got Talent!
Simon, an executive producer for the show, who also judges Britain’s Got Talent (the UK version of AGT), shared that he and NBC had been “talking about” him joining the judges panel for years, but it never panned out. Now the timing seems right! “This year … everything worked so it was perfect.”
Howard is said to be leaving to focus on his radio show and other possible television opportunities.
Simon Cowell is a daddy! The former X Factor and American Idol star welcomed a baby boy with his girlfriend Lauren Silverman on Valentine's Day.
Simon rushed to NYC on Friday afternoon when he received word that Lauren was in labor – a little more than a week early. Simon made it in time, sharing that their son arrived around 5pm on Friday afternoon. Simon and Lauren named their little guy Eric, after Simon's father.

The U.S. version of The X Factor is canceled! Simon Cowell released a statement tonight, confirming that he was leaving the show. Shortly after his announcement, Fox canceled the show after three seasons on the air.
Simon shared that he's leaving to head back to projects in the UK. And probably to spend some time with his baby boy, who is due soon. "I've had a fantastic time over the last 12 years, both on The X Factor and American Idol. And apart from being lucky enough to find some amazing talent on the shows, I have always had an incredible welcome from the American public (most of the time!). I also want to thank everybody who has supported my shows. America, I’ll see you soon!"
Much like the other reality competitions before it, TheX Factor needs a revamp. Let's face it, unless it's The Voice, no one is really watching on the daily…or are you? I've never been one for the these shows (although I did get addicted to American Idol back in the day), but I do love to watch a moody Simon Cowell. Plus, who doesn't love to see what color hair Demi Lovato is sporting on any given night?
USA Today is reporting that Simon has grand plans for the upcoming season of the X Factor. He's talking shake-ups, y'all! Simon himself even wants a new role in the production.
Of course, when one celebrity judge leaves, it opens the floodgates for all of the speculation as to who should be passing out the compliments and critiques when the show returns for another season. If the newest rumors are true, Simon is going to be the sole dude with some very talented ladies at the judge's table.
You knew it was coming…we all did. Now that Kim Kardashian has finalized her divorce with Kris Humphries, she needs to find something else to boo-hoo about in the media. This go-round, she picks her second favorite topic…just how horrible hard and icky her pregnancy is. No wonder her baby daddy Kanye West is holed up at Paris Fashion Week, far, FAR away from this kraziness! You'd think she was the first woman ever to be uncomfortable during her pregnancy. Sympathy? I got nothin'!
Page Six reports on Kim's sit down with E!'s Ryan Seacrest as she pouts–yet again–about her pregnancy. On the Kardashianfamily special, Kim komplains, “I was waiting for this amazing experience where I could just do whatever I want, eat whatever I want, feel great, and it just hasn’t been that way.”
I have to admit that this one caught me off guard! According to RumorFix, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi is itching to try reality TV hosting, and she has her immediate sights set on the X Factor. The site claims that Snooki has openly discussed the pros and cons of standing next to Mario Lopez on the X Factor stage with her friends.
It's official! Demi Lovato has confirmed that she is coming back to the X Factor for season three. As of right now, I'm pretty sure that Demi, Simon Cowell, and I will be the only people returning to the X Factor, but I can live with that. 😉
"I am so excited to return as a judge and mentor on the X Factor," Demisaid. "Last season was an unbelievable experience and I really enjoyed developing personal relationships with the contestants and the panel."
