After getting convicted for twenty counts of fraud in the most public way possible, former Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller is set to start her prison sentence tomorrow in California. Going to jail for fraud is such a #TotalRealityStarMove at this point, so this really isn’t unusual, but it will (hopefully) be a major wake up call for the notoriously difficult dance teacher.
Even though her team has moved on with Cheryl Burke as their coach, she still has one big scene to film for the show that put her in the limelight. Yes, the Lifetime cameras will actually be present when Abby turns herself in.
I like watching the girls compete on Dance Moms, but Abby Lee Miller is the one who made the show worth watching. So I can’t help being curious about how Cheryl Burke will do now that she’s taking over for Abby. I’m sure she’s a nicer coach and way more enjoyable to be around.
Personally, I think the show would be great to watch if the trash talking between Abby and Cheryl was included in the episodes. These two have had a lot to say about each other in the press. As expected, Abby did not take too kindly to Cheryl describing the girls as “traumatized” thanks to Abby.
As much as I love the girls on Dance Moms, I really watched the show for Abby Lee Miller’s ridiculous antics. Sure the moms argued a lot about who was raising the biggest star, but Abby really made the show. However, if I were a dancer or dance mom I would actually be relieved that Abby was replaced by Cheryl Burke.
Cheryl seems to be a lot more rational and kind than Abby ever has been, but then again aren’t we all? I have no idea how entertaining the show will be in Abby’s absence, but apparently Cheryl has a lot to overcome as the new coach of ALDC- or whatever moniker the team is going by during this post-Abby era.
Ding-dong the wicked dance teacher is gone! Abby Lee Miller huffed, and she puffed, and she screamed, but she couldn’t blow the Dance Moms franchise down – and the cast is thrilled with her replacement, Cheryl Burke. There’s been a lot of changes on Dance Moms, actually, and now former dancer Chloe Lukasiak is speaking out about her “high-stress and intense” experiences on the show with an inspirational new memoir.
Last month Abby Lee publicly quit the show she helped build, claiming that Lifetime execs and producers refused to give her creative credit for dances she choreographed for the ALDC troupe, featured on the show. In the past Abby has also complained that producers forced her to maintain her bully persona for ratings.
I could never imagine being a dancer or mother on Dance Moms. Aside from not being able to dance and not having a kid, it seems like dealing with Abby Lee Miller would be a lot for any human being to handle.
As a viewer, I live for it every time Abby has a meltdown on screen, but I can see why the actual cast members would be happier now that Cheryl Burke is taking over. It seems like a logical fit since Cheryl is a skilled dancer/dance teacher who has reality TV experience from Dancing With the Stars. I’m curious about how entertaining the show will be since it’s obviously going to be way easier to get along with Cheryl in comparison to Abby.
Never say never, right? You know how sometimes, late at night, celebrities like to get on social media and rant? Maybe they’ve had a few cocktails. Maybe it was just a long day. Usually these things get deleted before sunrise, but sometimes you wake up and realize you quit your job in an all caps Instagram post! Such is the case with Abby Lee Miller who bid an Internet farewell to the network who made her a star over seven seasons of its hit show Dance Moms.
Alleging manipulation and a lack of artistic integrity, Abby gave the boot to the production team who she claims reveled in her mistreatment. However, amid rumblings that the show will go on without her (with former Dancing with the Stars pro Cheryl Burke at the helm), Abby is back tracking…just a little.
Happy St Patrick’s Day! To kick off this all new gallery of reality star sightings is Tonya Banks celebrating the premiere of her “Lil Boss Body” clothing line with a few of her Little Women: LA co-stars.
