Chris Lambton

The Bachelor and The Bachelorette alums Chris Lambton and Peyton Wright have finally said “I do!”

The couple, who has been engaged for what seemed like eons, exchanged rings this past Saturday at Wild Dunes Resort in Charleston, S.C., according to E! News. Among the attendees were fellow ex-Bachelor suitors Craig Robinson, Tyler Vermette, and Roberto Martinez.

The wedding happened just in time for the premiere of the couple’s newest reality venture, Going Yard. The new show premieres May 12 on HGTV and features Chris and Peyton traveling the country designing and decorating people’s outdoor living spaces (aka backyards).

Moving along, more reports are emerging accusing Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson of faking their romance for a paycheck. An insider tells In Touch Weekly (via their print edition) that the couple is hardly in love but they are making big bucks working the romance angle. At a recent Las Vegas MGM Grand Pool Party they scored $25k for showing up and hosting the gig.

“Ben and Courtney seem disconnected,” a witness reports. “I’ll be shocked if they ever make it down the aisle.” Yeah – you and me both!

However they don’t intend to call it quits until the checks stop coming. The couple allegedly made $125,000 in April by hosting events and attending photo ops pretending to be enraptured.

The Bachelorette ABC

According to a report, Ashley Hebert has been offered a spot on Dancing With The Stars!

The HollywoodLife blog is reporting that DWTS executives are angling to have the Bachelorette star on for next season, and have even officially asked her to join the cast.

And similar to those before her aka Jake Pavelka and Melissa Rycroft, it appears Ashley is interested. “They are in negotiations, and it is definitely hers if she wants it,” reveals a DWTS insider.

In other news, Life & Style magazine is now reporting that Chris Lambton, former Bachelorette contestant from Ali Fedotowsky’s season, is engaged! Chris popped the question to his girlfriend and fellow Bachelor alum Peyton Wright who said yes.

“I found the love of my life in Peyton,” Chris tells Life & Style. “We are so incredibly happy together. She was worth the wait.”

Good for Chris as if you recall, he turned down the opportunity to be the Bachelor a year ago after he started dating Peyton. That decision seems to have paid off today as Brad Womack who went on to become the Bachelor has not had as much luck with his love life.

Congrats to Chris and Peyton! The couple started dating last August.

TELL US – DO YOU WANT TO SEE ASHLEY ON DANCING WITH THE STARS? SHOULD SHE DO IT?

It seems Chris Lambton’s decision to turn down ABC’s offer to be The Bachelor on the current season of the show is paying off.

Chris, who was the runner up on Ali Fedotowsky’s season of The Bachelorette, has found love off camera. In a new interview with UsWeekly, Chris finally admits he is indeed dating Bachelor Pad alum Peyton Wright. In fact, the two have been dating since last August.

“I love her and I’m so happy to be with her,” Chris, 33, told UsWeekly at a Bachelor reunion party in NYC Saturday. “And you know what, the one good thing that came from this show, well two good things– one, meeting Peyton and two, the strong friendships I made. I have no regrets about doing the show.”

Chris reveals he made things official with Peyton last fall. “I think I asked her to be my girlfriend October 3rd,” said Chris. “I made him!” chimed in Peyton. “I’m like, ‘Are we going to define this?’ And he said, ‘Peyton, will you be my girlfriend?’”

And when it comes to the current season of the Bachelor with Brad Womack, Peyton reveals her top choice for Brad. “I like Emily a lot — they definitely have a connection!” she said. As for Chris, he reveals he is “definitely not” watching this season of the show.

Avid Bachelor watcher, Elisabeth Hasselbeck of The View, is not happy with ABC’s reported choice for the next Bachelor.

As we reported last week, the buzz is that indecisive former Bachelor, Brad Womack, has been chosen once again to be the next Bachelor.

“Ugh!” she told UsWeekly. “Translation: They couldn’t find somebody!” Elisabeth might be onto something as several media outlets have reported that ABC’s first choice, Chris Lambton, turned them down.

Brad, 27, became infamous in 2007 when he left the final two women, DeAnna Pappas and Jenni Croft, broken hearted by not choosing either of them. At the time, the Bachelor was still somewhat of a classy show, hence Brad’s decision shocking fans of the show.

Elisabeth, 33, feels that Brad doesn’t deserve a second shot at love, at least not on TV. “He didn’t have enough choices before? How many women do you need, Brad?” she asked. “They should really reevaluate that one.”

In other Bachelor news, Entertainment Weekly is confirming ABC will officially announce the new Bachelor on tonight’s episode of Dancing With The Stars.

Is The Bachelor franchise ready to do something it has never done before?

According to Star magazine, that answer is yes! Star is reporting that Brad Womack, who starred on 11th season of the Bachelor in 2007, has been chosen to once again star on the upcoming season. Brad is infamous for not picking anyone during his season, dumping his final two women, Deanna Pappas and Jenni Croft.

“All signs are pointing to Brad being the next Bachelor,” Bachelor insider Steve Carbone tells Star. “And it’s not that far fetched because apparently they asked him last year before asking Jake Pavelka.”

This comes as a huge surprise as ABC had been privately and publicly courting Chris Lambton to be the next Bachelor, but as reported back in August, Chris refused ABC’s offer citing that he wanted to step away from the spotlight and return to his “normal life.”

Star magazine adds that ABC will be making the announcement any day now. PEOPLE magazine is also reporting that the next season of the Bachelor is scheduled to begin filming next month.

Chris Lambton

It seems all hope is not lost when it comes to Chris Lambton possibly becoming the next Bachelor.

E! News reported weeks ago that the former Bachelorette contestant was hesitant about doing the show, citing that Chris no longer wanted to be on television.

The show host Chris Harrison is now speaking out and tells PEOPLE magazine Lambton has yet to completely rule out the offer.

“There’s an ongoing dialogue,” Harrison tells PEOPLE. “I was just with him this weekend in North Carolina and we talked about the show … it may be right for him, but it may not be.”

Harrison admits only Chris knows what is best for him.  “You have to take aside the clamoring of millions of fans [who] want him to be the Bachelor just because they [want] to wish him well,” Harrison says. “But they don’t necessarily know what’s right for him or what’s right for the show.”

Bachelorette Ali and Roberto

In other news, engaged Bachelorette star Ali Fedotowsky continues to talk about her dream wedding, you know, the wedding that will likely never happen when you take into account the extremely high failure rate of Bachelor couples.

But perhaps things will be different for Ali and her fiance Roberto Martinez. When it comes to her wedding dress, Ali tells UsWeekly, “I’m leaning towards Monique Lhuillier. I like her. I like the  flowiness of her dresses.”

And it seems Ali is aware of the low success rate of Bachelor(ette) couples, but she states she and Roberto are very devoted to each other.  The two have even recently moved in together in LA.  “We don’t even think of it like ‘are we going to make it a month? Are we going to make it six months?’” she said. “When we’re talking about doing things, we’re like ‘babe, we have the rest of our lives, that can wait, we can do that later, we have out whole lives.’ We’re going to make it!”

Chris LambtonVienna Girardi with boyfriend John Sala

Chris Lambton wants nothing to do with the Bachelor franchise reports E! News.

According to E! online, the former Bachelorette finalist has rejected ABC’s offer to have him become the next Bachelor. Chris’s reason? He reportedly wants to step away from the spotlight and return to his “normal life.”

In layman’s terms, Chris is not a famewhore, which of course only makes him more likable. However, sources tell E! that the ABC network is not ready to give up on Chris yet.

“The producers really want Chris to be the guy,” says a source. “They’re hoping they can convince him…This definitely isn’t dead yet.” An ABC insider adds that it’s “too soon” to determine who will be the next Bachelor.

Though Chris would have made a great Bachelor, must say this is a smart choice for him, as show has gotten much trashier and phony by the minute.

In other news, approximately 2 months after her nasty split with Jake Pavelka, it seems Vienna Girardi has moved on to a new man!

The 24-year-old Florida native, who had to endure a sexless relationship with Jake, stepped out with new beau John Sala on Tuesday. Usweekly reports the two lovebirds got very cozy during their night out.

Vienna posted on her twitter on Tuesday, “Yes, Im dating and he is amazing guy…Im so Happy!!.” Here’s to hoping we won’t have to read the sordid details of this relationship when it ends, not that we think it won’t last forever or anything.

TELL US – DO YOU WANT CHRIS AS THE NEXT BACHELOR? IF NOT, WHO DO YOU WANT?

The season finale of The Bachelorette aired last night with Ali Fedotowsky choosing Roberto Martinez as her final pick. Above is a picture of the couple taken last night in LA.

Roberto then got on one knee and proposed to an accepting Ali, which seemed like a traditional ending for the ABC hit show. The surprise of the night however came when Ali, 25, told finalist Chris Lambton, a 33-year-old contractor from Cape Cod, Mass., that she was in love with Roberto — just before the two were supposed to go on their final date, definitely a first in the show’s history.

“I’m in love with somebody else. I have to let you go here and not wait until tomorrow. This wasn’t an easy decision. It was really hard. I just didn’t want to put you through tomorrow because I know that’s going to be so hard,” said Ali to Chris.

Roberto, 26, had longed been the front runner of the show from the start, after receiving the first impression rose from Ali. Oddly enough, this is the first time in the show’s history that the person who received the first impression rose came out the winner.

“I love Roberto,” gushed Ali. “I love him. I’ve never ever in my whole life felt this good in a relationship.”

Ali and Roberto also appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show Monday night, during which Ali revealed she and Roberto would like to walk down the aisle “in the spring” of next year.

Chris Lambton

Now that the show is over, the question on everyone’s minds is who will be the next Bachelor? It has been rumored that Ty Brown from this Bachelorette season was being considered, but according to the show insider, Reality Steve, ABC would like Chris Lambton for the upcoming season.

Reality Steve reported yesterday that Chris, 33, has been offered the next Bachelor spot and that he will likely accept. The official announcement will come from ABC any day now.
