Danielle Staub Gets Served, Plus Lesbian Relationship A Publicity Stunt

Danielle Staub got an unpleasant treat while at a Halloween party last night reports TMZ.

According to the site, the former Real Housewives of New Jersey star got served for a defamation lawsuit her ex-boyfriend Steve Zalewski is bringing against her.

Danielle was reportedly on the red carpet at the Halloween event in Woodridge, NJ when the process server walked up with an envelope and said, “Here, Danielle … you’ve been served.” Danielle did not seem too distraught as she simply handed her publicist the envelope.

Steve is suing Danielle for defamation as he is claiming she falsely accused him of secretly videotaping a sex romp with her.  Danielle made the claims during an episode of the Bravo hit show. Steve has since stated publicly that Danielle was well aware she was being taped.

Danielle is no stranger to defamation lawsuits as she recently settled one with her ex-husband Kevin Maher. Though the settlements terms were kept confidential, sources close to Kevin have stated Danielle had to pay him a nice sum.

In other Danielle news, a new report by RadarOnline states her faux lesbian relationship with songwriting “superstar” Lori Michaels was just that – a faux lesbian relationship. A friend of the now broken up couple tells Radar that though the two women were “physical” with one another, they “were not a couple.”

“Did they have a connection? Yes. Was it was very strong through work and song? Yes. Did Danielle feel more? Yes. Did she indicate that to Lori? Yes. But Lori was never going to put herself in a place where she was going to run away with Danielle,” adds the source.

Radar adds that Danielle has wasted no time in moving on as she showed up to the Thursday night Halloween party (the same party she was served at) with a mystery man.

NJ Housewife Danielle Staub Reaches Settlement In Defamation Suit With Ex

TMZ is reporting today that Danielle Staub has reached a settlement with her ex-husband Kevin Maher.

The settlement comes just a day before the former Real Housewives of New Jersey star was supposed to be deposed. Kevin was suing Danielle for $5 million in a defamation lawsuit. Kevin has repeatedly denied the allegations Danielle made about him in the press and in her memoir when she claimed he once raped her with a gun and murdered her dog.

While the settlement terms are confidential, Kevin a source tells TMZ “cash was involved in the deal.”

Kevin also tells TMZ, “The matter was resolved to the satisfaction of both parties.” He added, “It’s interesting that the case gets settled the day before Danielle was supposed to be deposed … it was going to be the worst day of her life.”

NJ Housewives’ Jacqueline Laurita: ‘I Don’t Want To Testify Against Danielle’

It seems Jacqueline Laurita, star of the Real Housewives of New Jersey, wants absolutely nothing to do with a lawsuit against her former co-star Danielle Staub.

Following the leak or release of Caroline Manzo’s deposition, in a defamation lawsuit brought against Danielle by her ex-husband Kevin Maher, TMZ is reporting today that Jacqueline desperately wants to avoid testifying.

As for her reason, Jacqueline tells TMZ “I don’t want to go back to that dark place.” She added, “I didn’t even know I was on the list … it’s not really a list I want to be on … can I be taken OFF the list?”

As we previously reported, Kevin is suing Daniele for $5 million, citing that she spread horrific lies about him in the press and in her memoir. In addition to Caroline, Jacqueline was also added to the witness list to testify about Danielle’s “dishonest reputation.”

RadarOnline also reported a week ago that Danielle offered Kevin a settlement deal, but he ultimately rejected it.

“I really don’t want to go back to that dark place. Every time I’ve moved on the tide tries to pull me back in. I’m enjoying the sun. Let me be,” said Jacqueline, who is set to take the stand in February 2011.

NJ Housewives’ Caroline Manzo: ‘I Told Bravo Danielle Or Me!’

When news of the firing of Danielle Staub hit weeks ago, a few media outlets revealed the reason was an ultimatum given to Bravo by the Manzos.

Well, we can now confirm today that ultimatum is indeed true and fact. TMZ obtained a video of Caroline Manzo during her on camera deposition in the defamation lawsuit filed against Danielle by her ex-husband, Kevin Maher.

In the video, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star reveals she delivered a strict ultimatum to the show’s producers — if Danielle returned for another season … she’d quit the show.

“I did tell Bravo and Sirens that there is no amount of money you could put on the table for me next year,” said Caroline, adding that “if Danielle Staub is on the show, I am out because my integrity means too much to me … so for Season 3, they know it’s either Danielle or myself.”

Caroline Manzo Testifies Against Danielle Staub, 2 Spin-off Shows In The Works For Danielle?

Despite Danielle Staub’s firing from the Real Housewives of New Jersey, it seems Caroline Manzo continues to get dragged into her mess.

The latest is a new report by RadarOnline, which details Caroline’s recent testimony against Danielle in a Federal defamation lawsuit filed against Danielle by her ex-husband, Kevin Maher. Kevin is accusing Danielle of defaming him in media outlets and in her memoir, The Naked Truth.

In her testimony, Caroline, who was called to testify on behalf of Kevin, recalled the many tales Danielle told her about him. “She depicted him as a monster,” said Caroline during the July 22 deposition. “She depicted him as someone who would beat her daily, as someone that put her in the hospital due to the beatings, I want to say on more than one occasion.”

Caroline continued, “She claimed to have been hiding in a tree at some point, afraid that when he came home he would find her and beat her. She claimed to be the victim of prostitution due to his demands, that he put her into that world, again depicting him as an absolute monster. And the only reason she stayed with him, because she feared for her life if she left.”

According to Radar, Danielle has filed a motion with the court to have the case dismissed. An hearing for that has been set for September 27.

In other news, Danielle continues to talk to any media outlet willing to listen. The latest is her claims that she has not one, but two spin-off shows in the works! Danielle is claiming one of the shows will be a reality show based on her life a la Bethenny Getting Married, while the other will have her hosting a show a la Jerry Springer.

Danielle, pictured above on Friday snagging freebies at a MTV VMA retreat (feel free to check out the items in the photo background), told RadarOnline her reality show will be better than that of Bethenny Frankel. “It’s going to be better because it’s actually going to keep people awake and on the edge of their seats,” Danielle told Radar. “They’re going to want to see what I’m doing, where I’m going, who I’m wearing, what I’m wearing, who I’m chewing up and spitting out, maybe who I’m dating, maybe who I’m not, what is going on in my real life … and the one thing people say, love me or hate me, I keep it real and you’re paying attention.”

Danielle also shares she will be revealing her sexual orientation on her show. As for her other show, Danielle says she will be hosting it. “It’s going to be over the top and definitely something that I think people are going to be quite surprised that I’m going to be able to do and who I’m replacing.”

And while we continue to remain suspicious about Danielle’s “two shows,” HollywoodLife is reporting today that Danielle had a camera crew in tow during an OK magazine event last night. Danielle revealed to the site that one of her shows will be titled Social and will air on the WealthTV network. And no, we’ve never heard of the WealthTV network either, just in case you’re wondering.

“I’m replacing Robin Leach basically, of Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, but with a twist,” she says. “There will be more socializing with the rich and famous celebrities and we’ll show how they give back as well.” Danielle says she will tape the first episode this Thursday — and will tape for 26 straight weeks. “Each week I’ll have a different celebrity or billionaire,” she says adding, “I’ll be filming anywhere from New Jersey all the way to India. We have a lot of celebrities lined up but I can’t tell you their names yet. Lori Michaels [her rumored girlfriend] will be a part of this too.”

Danielle confirmed to HollyWoodLife that her kids will appear on both shows. Poor kids.

NJ Housewives’ Caroline Manzo Deposed In Danielle Staub Lawsuit, BFFs With Jill Zarin?

More behind the scenes drama for the Real Housewives of New Jersey.

The NJ.com is reporting that Caroline Manzo has been deposed in the $5 million defamation lawsuit filed against Danielle Staub by her ex-husband Kevin Maher.

Maher tells the site, “Caroline Manzo saw Danielle Staub for who she truly is right off the bat and never gave Danielle the opportunity to hurt her like the rest of the housewives did,” adding that, “therefore we felt that Caroline’s testimony would be impartial and the most valued in these proceedings.”

Neither Caroline or Danielle’s has yet to comment on this latest development.


Jill Zarin & Caroline Manzo New BFFs – In other news, it seems Jill Zarin, star of the Real Housewives of New York City is back to her old famewhoring habits. First a very random story came out in multiple media outlets last week that Florida governor and senatorial candidate Charlie Crist and his wife Carole were staying with Jill while in the Hamptons meeting with environmentalists and campaigning.

Then this week, exactly a week later, the HollywoodLife also reported that Caroline Manzo stayed at Jill’s home in the Hamptons instead of staying with sister Dina Manzo who reportedly “had rented a house for the entire week.” Wonder how these stories keep getting to the press? The site proclaimed Jill and Caroline were new BFFs and that the two partied together throughout the weekend.

Danielle then took some time out of her very busy schedule to talk to the HollywoodLife about Jill and Caroline’s new budding friendship, even taking the time to warn Jill about Caroline.

“I guess congrats are in order?!” Danielle told HollywoodLife. “I want Jill to be happy and have good people surrounding her. Jill is amazing and has always been very kind to me and has reached out to me on several occassions in good and bad times … we’ve shared a lot.”
