Above is the first glimpse of Chaz Bono, the first transgendered contestant on the show, in his dancing costume alongside partner Lacey Schwimmer. As we reported, the casting of Chaz, 42, has proven to be a rather controversial one for ABC with some fans voicing their disapproval.
In other DWTS news, TMZ is reporting today that Rob Kardashian has been slacking off when it comes to practicing his dance moves. Rob’s partner Cheryl Burke is reportedly “fed up” with him as he refuses to practice for more than 2 hours with her. Other contestants are putting in over 5 hours a day.
Cheryl now feels this shows Rob’s lack of interest in doing the show. And while he’s busy not practicing, Rob is reportedly bragging to his older sister Kimmie Kardashianthat he will top her DWTS performance by making it past week 3. Good luck with that one Robbie!

In a new interview, Nancy reveals she thought she was dreaming when she got the call from DWTS. “I feel like Cinderella that got invited to the ball. I don’t know how to dance,” Nancy, 51, states. “I don’t know what I’m going to wear, but I know I have been invited.”
Nancy adds, “I want to have fun. Ever since my fiance was killed in ’79, my whole life has been about putting bad guys away, going to law school, making law review, trying cases, representing crime victims – and this is such a departure, to get to dress up in crazy outfits and dance. With just less than a day until “Royal Wedding #2,” more details are now coming out about Kim Kardashian’swedding!
First up is a report by the NY Post which reveals the Keeping Up With The Kardashiansstar actually dis-invited 50 guests to her wedding at the last minute Wowzers. The reason? There simply wasn’t enough space at the Montecito, California home of Google’s Eric Schmidt, where the wedding is set to take place.
And guess which guests got uninvited? If you guessed anyone with the Kardashian last name, you guessed wrong! The Post reports members of stepdad Bruce Jenner‘s extended family got the axe, as well as any ‘plus one’ guests who weren’t specifically invited. Poor Bruce.
As for the guests who are still invited, that exclusive list includes celebs Jennifer Lopez, Ryan Seacrest, Kathie Lee Gifford, Nicole Richie, Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, and Serena and Venus Williams. Kimmie also managed to thrown a bone to the future Mr. Kardashian by inviting some of his New Jersey Nets teammates!
When it comes to Kimmie’s wedding dress, reports state she plans to pick one of three custom-made Vera Wang wedding gowns, each costing up to $25,000, and four pairs of custom-made Louboutins. Those pricey gowns should go well with the reported $20,000 cake. Pimpmomager Kris Jennner reportedly helped Kimmie pick out the 10-tier cake with chocolate chip frosting worth.
The color scheme for the wedding is said to be black and white all the way with Kim picking out some white South African roses as decorations. In fact guests have been asked to only wear black or white attire.
As for the wedding dance, Kimmie, who might or might not have two left feet, has enlisted the help of her former Dancing With The Stars partner Mark Ballas. Kim, 30, and Kris, 26, have reportedly been taking professional lessons from Mark.
And finally, TMZ is reporting that security at the Kardashian-Humphries nuptials will be tighter than Bruce Jenner’s face! Kris Jenner A source reveals the security is treating the event “as if it was the white house.” The reason? Well Kimmie has a deal in place with PEOPLE and E! to publish photos and footage of the big day. So majority of the wedding festivities will take place either indoors or under tents to thwart the paparazzi because the Kardashians don’t want the footage to leak out.
The nuptials, which will take place tomorrow, will be featured on the cover of PEOPLE magazine next week. The E! network also announced it will air the made for TV wedding in a 4-hour special starting Oct. 9.

Going into the final results show last night, Hines was tied with Disney starlet Chelsea Kane for the top spot. He also faced competition from actress Kirstie Alley, who despite being a few points behind, was a fan favorite.
Not so surprisingly, coming in third place was Chelsea, 22, and her partner Mark Ballas. This left Hines, 35, and Kirstie, 60, to battle it out for the dreadful mirror ball trophy!
Ultimately, Hines was crowned the winner of DWTS season 12 and he made certain to thank his partner Kym Johnson. “I started this competition, I never thought I’d be in the finals, but I owe it all to Kym,” Hines said. “She’s an amazing teacher. I want to thank the judges for giving us their constructive criticism to help me get better each week. But also I want to thank all the fans.”
Runner-up Kirstie also thanked her partner/hotness Maksim Chmerkovskiy for helping her through the season. “It’s the most extraordinary adventure I’ve ever been on in my life,” said Kirstie, “and I want to thank…I love Maks.”
The three finalists all appeared on Good Morning America this morning. Hines also becomes the second NFL player in the history of DWTS to take the title. The only other player to accomplish the feat was Emmitt Smith in season three.

The remaining finalists had to dance two dances last night, a regular dance and a freestyle routine. First up was Disney starlet Chelsea Kane, who danced a sultry samba with partner Mark Ballasfor a score of 29. Kirstie Alley and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy also performed a samba for a score of 27. “It could have been a little bit crisper, but it was a lovely job and deserving of being in this final,” said judge Len Goodman of Kirstie.
Dancing a quickstep was NFL player Hines Ward and partner Kym Johnson for an almost perfect score of 29. “It was a vast improvement, for me it’s not quite there yet,” critiqued Len.
It was time for the freestyle dances with Chelsea and Mark earning a perfect score of 30 for their “electrifying” hip-hop and Latin-inspired routine. It was then Kirstie’s turn and her freestyle with Maks started of slow before picking up speed, lifts included and all. Kirstie earned another score of 27. “You have become the poster child for life as it should be lived at 60 years old!” said judge Carrie Ann Inaba.
Hines was last but definitely not the least with his freestyle, and similar to Chelsea, he also earned a perfect score of 30! To sum things up, Hines and Chelsea are currently tied for first with a total score of 59 each, but don’t count Kirstie out just yet! She is a fan favorite after all and can still pull out a win.
Monday night on Dancing With The Stars brought us the semi-finals competition. The four remaining contestants had to perform two new dances in addition to a winner-takes-all cha-cha for 15 bonus points.
Following a pretty scary neck injury days ago, pro dancer Kym Johnsonand her partner Hines Wardmanaged to give two perfect performances.
During rehearsals late last week, Kym took a nasty fall and landed on her head. She was rushed to the hospital before doctors ultimately cleared her to practice with the help of a neck brace. This all makes Kym’s feat on Monday night all the more impressive as she and Hines earned a perfect score for their first dance of the night – the Argentine tango. “It was like something from the Kama Sutra,” said judge Len Goodman. “That is a tango!” The duo also earned another 30 for their salsa.
Leading the leaderboard last night, thanks to their bonus 15 points from the cha-cha dance contest, Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas also received a perfect score of 30 for their sexy rumba! Add in the 28 points they received for their earlier tango, and the pair scored a total of 73 points for the night. It’s safe to assume Chelsea and Mark will not be getting the boot tonight.
Falling to the bottom for the second week in a row was Ralph Macchioand pro partner Karina Smirnoff. It is however a comment by judge Bruno Toniolithat is making headlines today. See following their sexy salsa performance, Bruno made a racy remark in reference to Karina when he stated Ralph was “too rough” with his p–sy. He later clarified he was referring to Karina’s pussycat costume. This led to some boos from the audience.
Karina spoke to UsWeekly after the live show, stating she felt “dirty” following Bruno’s critique. “Today was just inappropriate and rude and uncalled for,” she said, adding that Bruno “wouldn’t make eye contact” with her after the incident.
And then there were six. In a predictable turn of events, the lowest scoring star got the boot on Tuesday’s results show of Dancing With The Stars.
Yes, wrestler Chris Jericho and partner Cheryl Burkewere sent packing following their lackluster Tango on Monday night. Chris’s elimination proves this season is still up for grabs as just a week ago, he was tied for second place.
Chris, 40, was however a great sport about his elimination. “It’s actually good timing, because I have to fly over to England for the royal wedding,” he joked upon hearing the news. “No, but honestly, it wasn’t my best dance last night, and at this point you have to be your best because everyone’s so evenly matched,” he added.
Chris then went on to praise his partner Cheryl. “The only reason I got this far is because of Cheryl. She’s a great performer, she’s become a friend for life…I haven’t seen my kids in four weeks, so it’s time for Chris Jericho the Dancer to step aside and Chris Jericho the Daddy to come back.” he said.
Meanwhile, former American Idol contestant Pia Toscano gave her widely talked about performance during which her new beau Mark Ballas and Karina Smirnoff danced while she sang “I’ll Stand by You.”
And of course show host Tom Bergeron had to ask Pia about her romance with Mark. Tom didn’t ask if they were dating, simply asking her if Mark was a good kisser. “He’s a wonderful person,” was Pia’s reply. Well played Tom Pia. Well played.
The remaining six contestants live to compete once again next Monday.
Following “American night” last week on Dancing With The Stars, the show returned Monday night with a very non cheesy “guilty pleasure night.”
And it was a good night as the first 10s of the season were handed out to two contestants. Romeoreceived the first 10 of the night for his lovely Viennese waltz with partner Chelsie Hightowerto Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On.” “Every once in awhile in a season, magic happens,” said judge Carrie Ann Inaba. “And that was magical.”
Romeo ended the night with a score of 28 as so did Disney starlet Chelsea Kane and partner Mark Ballas. Chelsea and Mark received the second 10 of the night for their quick-step to “Walking on Sunshine.” “I’m getting a suntan from you!” said judge Bruno Tonioli. “You have so much zest. Splendid.”
And it wouldn’t be a typical DWTS night if a mishap didn’t occur. This week, actor Ralph Macchio suffered that fate when his partner Karina Smirnoff tripped over him during their paso doble to “Everybody Dance Now” by C+C Music Factory. The duo quickly recovered and ended the night with an okay score of 24.
At the bottom of the leaderboard this week and in serious danger of going home is wrestler Chris Jerichoalongside partner Cheryl Burke. The duo danced the tango to Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin” with Bruno stating the wrestler looked like “a lump of granite.” Ouch.
The results show airs tonight at 9/8c and someone will be going home. Below are the scores from last night -
Romeo & Chelsie Hightower: 28
Chelsea Kane & Mark Ballas: 28
Hines Ward & Kym Johnson: 27
Kirstie Alley & Maks Chmerkovskiy: 26
Kendra Wilkinson & Louis van Amstel: 25
Ralph Macchio & Karina Smirnoff: 24
Chris Jericho & Cheryl Burke: 22
In other DWTS news, it seems Mark Ballas, 24, and eliminated American Idol contestant Pia Toscano, 22, are still going strong. The new couple was photographed dining at a Beverly Hills restaurant on Sunday night. Also pictured with the duo were Mark’s mom (in the blue dress), and his fellow pro dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Those photos are below!
