Should Real Housewives of Atlanta’s NeNe Leakes Replace Joy Behar On The View?

It's no secret that Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes wants to be less a reality star and more a legitimate television personality. She's already conquered the sitcom realm with her NBC hit The New Normal, and now many of her fans are hoping we'll see the Neenster on the talk show circuit.

Not too long ago, NeNe served as a guest host on ABC's The View, and she was very well received to say the least. While I don't always find NeNe's behavior on RHOA to be all that funny (although her WIG! oneliners are classic), I find her hilarious outside the show. Now that Joy Behar has announced she'll be bidding farewell to The View after nearly seventeen years, would NeNe make a good replacement?

RHOA’s NeNe Leakes Blasts Kandi Burruss, Dishes On Relationship With Gregg!

It's been how many seasons now? I think everyone on the planet knows not to cross Ms. NeNe Leakes. Clearly Kandi Burruss hasn't gotten that memo. Like her or not (and I waiver–loved her, didn't like her so much, she's definitely growing on me again), the Real Housewives of Atlanta star is one of the franchise's biggest break-outs, and it was her hard work and hustle that made it happen. She took her gig on Bravo and surpassed all the cookbook writers, spin-off ladies, and talk-show hopefuls. NeNe has arrived, and she's a bona fide star. If you'd told me this would happen three years ago, I would have laughed at you while singing in a limo. If you tried to convince me of the same a year ago, I'd just yell "Wig" at you and tell you to close your legs to married men. You have to admit, the lady has one-liners!

Maybe it's her brashness, her biting honesty (she's the only one who proudly owns up to stripping in the past), or unapologetic nature, but NeNe has become a force to reckoned with among all of the housewives. To be quite honest, I'm still a little surprised that she stuck around this season to cause drama given her new presence in Hollywood. I'm equal parts terrified of her and want her to be my friend…of course, maybe I want her to my friend because I'm so scared of her. Regardless, call me Neenster!

RHOA’s Kim Zolciak Quits Mid-Season! Plus RHOA Premiere Was Most Watched Opener In Bravo History!

I don't know if we should be excited or scared that the ladies of Real Housewives of Atlanta are back in full force. Of course, I make that statement while cowering behind my sofa. There is a lot of change going on with the ladies, and there is a bunch of drama happening with the original cast. With NeNe Leakes destined for Hollywood and Kim Zolciak wanting to fade into obscurity by actually being a housewife, I don't even know where to begin.

There has been a lot of speculation about what is going on with the ladies in the peach state. While some (okay, one) of the women has moved on from reality television (although she's happy to cause drama and pick up her check when she's not acting on a new sitcom), the others want to hold on to their Bravo fame with every inch of their manicured claws. That said, what's to become of Kim who has distanced herself from cast members while focusing on her spin-off career? That, my friends, is the million dollar question…and the answer will make housewives' history!

NeNe Leakes Plays Coy About Staying On Real Housewives of Atlanta!

If you had told me when Real Housewives of Atlanta started that NeNe Leakes would be the breakout star, I would totally have agreed with you. However, if you had told me she would segue her Bravo gig into a legitimate acting career, I would have pointed you in the direction of the nearest loony bin. Clearly, I was wrong.

NeNe is now commuting between Atlanta and Los Angeles where she is filming the NBC sitcom The New Normal. She's no longer screaming in Kim Zolciak's face. Instead she's trading jokes with The Ellen Barkin. So, it begs the question…will NeNe be a reality star or an actress? NeNe seems conflicted herself.

VIDEO: See The Trailer For NeNe Leakes’ New Sitcom “The New Normal!”

Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes is definitely moving onto bigger and better things! Ever since her vitriolic and frankly crazy stint on Celebrity Apprentice, the ever so demure Mrs. Leakes has been getting some major cred for her overly dramatic ways!

Glee creator Ryan Murphy seemingly loves him some NeNe (just like Andy Cohen does!) and he has cast her in a recurring role for his newest sitcom, The New Normal. A trailer was just released for the NBC show, which is likely to be a hit.

With all of NeNe’s new-found success away from the venue of reality TV, I have to wonder if her days as a reality star are numbered. Rumor has it NeNe has been making a lot of demands in order to remain on the show – including stipulating who gets the job as a new housewife.

Further cementing that she may be soon abandoning Housewives for the big leagues, NeNe recently attended the extremely shi-shi American Ballet Theater Spring Gala at The Metropolitan Opera House. Hopefully she didn’t get into any altercations. A photo of NeNe at the gala is above!

Will Former Miss USA Kenya Moore Be The New RHOA Housewife? Plus NeNe’s Sitcom Pilot Gets Picked Up & PHOTO – NeNe On Vacation With Gregg!

With She by SheFired now officially retired from Real Housewives of Atlanta, and Marlo Hampton (hopefully) deemed to trashy for the show after her reunion scuffle with Kim Zolciak, the rumors are already starting to fly about who the newest cast member will be.

RadarOnline reports that former Miss USA (and ex-girlfriend of Terrell Owens), Kenya Moore is at the top of the shortlist to join the show. The only snafu in the plan – Kenya just moved to Atlanta! She advertised on Twitter that she has just relocated to the city of peaches from Detroit! “Gorgeous day ATL. I love being n country hearing the horse whinny next door juxtaposed w/ the gunshots from shooting range down the street.”
