A couple weeks ago NeNe Leakes did a controversial 1-on-1 WWHL sit-down. Among the Housewives NeNe dished on she took Brandi Glanville to task for her drinking and her mouth. And she also suggested Melissa Gorga take a very much needed seat and respect her Housewives elders such as Teresa Giudice.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta elder merely said what we all know to be true - that Melissa observed Teresa's fame and "success" from Real Housewives of New Jersey and wanted a piece of the pignoli cookie, but then she came on the show to try and usurp Mrs. Giudice's Flipping Throne. And mama don't play when it comes to who wears the designer pants in the Housewives family!
Speaking the truth always makes waves so Brandi and Melissa are both fighting back! Melissa, who will be part of her own WWHL special this Sunday (featuring all the S5 Jersey girls), suggests that NeNe is a little scared of the newbies nipping at her heels.
Well, it's a good thing that NeNe Leakes has I Dream of NeNe to fall back on in light of NBC's latest announcement. The network is canceling the Ryan Murphy created sitcom The New Normal after its first season.
While I found the show about a gay couple and their surrogate and her family to be quirky and funny, it garnered some controversy due to its subject matter. NeNe played the plucky side-kick Rocky.

NeNe Leakes sat down withAndy Cohen for an epic one-on-one interview on Watch What Happens Live. I have to say, NeNe was really candid, blunt, and endearing. And she's a wealth of information! I wish I could do a one-on-one and ply her for secrets.
First up, in case you weren't aware: NeNe definitely considers Real Housewives of Atlanta "her" show. And she's very protective of original Housewives in general. "I'm the star, I'm the boss. When people think of Atlanta Housewives, they think NeNe Leakes," she informed Andy.
NeNe shared that RHOA was originally called Ladies of Atlanta with her being the first lady cast. They were totally going for a Real Housewives of Orange County women of an elite gated community format. NeNe introduced Sheree Whitfield and DeShawn Snow to the cast.
Shockingly, NeNe says that Sheree used to be a really low-maintenance, and didn't wear extensions or makeup. "She was just this plain girl and had this really great life with this really great athlete." They were friends since Sheree's newlywed days and hung out all the time. NeNe was her sidekick at many a Falcons' games when Bob was still playing.
NeNe will also dish on her upcoming wedding spinoff, I Dream Of NeNe and the publicity stunt rekindled relationship she has with Kim Zolciack. Personally I'm hoping for some good ol' fashioned "Close your legs to married men, trashbox!" mayhem – maybe Sheree will be a surprise caller. One can only hope, right Boo?!
