How sweet it is! Real Housewives of New Jersey star in-absentia,Teresa Giudice is reportedly back in the bosom of her family after serving nearly one year behind bars on fraud charges. The raven-haired reality star was released from the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, CT. in the wee hours of Wednesday morning to serve the remainder of her 15-month term in the confinement of her Jersey manse. A procession of black SUV’s arrived at the Giudice home at 7:30 am and Teresa was met with warm and fuzzy greetings hanging from her front door, one of which read, “We missed you.” Teresa will now be able to celebrate the holidays with her husband Joe, four girls and the rest of her lively family.
According to a close family source who spoke to People Magazine, Teresa is “Thrilled that she is finally going home.” Upon her release, Teresa was met by her lawyer, James J. Leonard, Jr., who also confirmed the fact that she left the minimum security prison. After vetting and signing a slew of mandatory release forms, Teresa officially kicked to the curb, her drab elastic-waist khakis and poly-blend button-down shirt mandatory prison attire at 5:01 am but was delayed until 5:30 am.
Teresa Giudice is giving reality television fans the most wonderful Christmas gift of all because today is the day she’ll be released from prison! I assume Bravo cameras will be standing by to capture the moment she is set free, and picked up by her attorney to be driven home to the many foreclosure’d manor in Montville. (Giudice Glenn?)
So Pay Attention PUH-LEAZE to the 6 reasons why Teresa’s release is giving us the holly jollies instead of the Bah Humbugs! (But on that note, let’s hope Teresa’s new lifestyle is a little more Ebeneezer Scrooge in the money department, and a little less Ma Moneybags!)

Pay attention PUH-LEAZE! Teresa Giudice will be released from prison on December 23rd, which means in 2 days’ time. Yay – it’s a golden, leopard-print, CHARGE IT! Christmas at the Giudices once again. Let’s just hope Melissa Gorga doesn’t f–k up and bring sprinkle cookies because in times of celebration – like when your sister-in-law gets sprung – only a pignoli cookie will do!
“… she’s getting released on Dec. 23, I don’t know exactly what time. I will be picking her up and driving her home,” Teresa’s attorney James Leonard Jr. confirmed. Teresa served 11 1/2 months of a 15 month sentence at Danbury Federal Correctional Institute. She received early release as a first-time, non-violent offender, who exhibited good behavior.
Despite her release the Real Housewives Of New Jersey star isn’t free as a bird! Teresa is required to wear an electronic ankle monitoring device and will be on “home confinement until Feb. 5.”
The countdown is on… only 13 days untilTeresa Giudice is set to be released from prison. Teresa will reportedly head home on Wednesday, December 23rd.
This means theReal Housewives of New Jersey star will be home in time to spend Christmas with her family, but once she finds out thatMelissa Gorga is hosting Christmas Eve, I would not be surprised if Teresa decides prison is the better option. I kid… about choosing prison, not about Christmas Eve at Casa de Leaky Beaver. Apparently, that is totally happening, and I know cameras will be rolling. #PleaseLetThereBeSprinkleCookies
Melissa recently talked with People about the “blessing” that is Teresa‘s timely release. About hosting Christmas Eve, she said, “It should be a beautiful thing.”
Holidays are about fambly. At least that’s what Real Housewives of New Jersey’sTeresa Guidice is claiming about her decision to spend Thanksgiving alone at Danbury Correctional Facility, where she’s serving out her eleven and a half-month sentence until December 23rd of this year.
Teresa says she doesn’t want husband Joe Giudice and their four daughters, Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana, to visit her on Thanksgiving day because she wants the holiday to be “as normal as possible for the girls.” Normal may be in the eye of the beholder, but good on her for trying!
Teresa Giudice can barely construct the ingredientzes of a sentence, but she’s about to be a published author once again! Teresa’s prison memoir, titled ‘Turning The Tables: From Housewife to Inmate and Back Again‘ will be released this February and is being touted as an exposé on her life in prison and a glimpse at the real Teresa that reality TV cameras haven’t shown.
It looks like Teresa will be spending her Real Housewives Of New Jersey paycheck before she’s even earned it. In October the IRS filed a lien against Teresa and Joe Giudice seeking recoupment for nine years of unpaid tax bills.
Unpack those Gucci plates and call off the moving trucks! Teresa Giudice has found a way to save her Franklin Lakes mansion from foreclosure! The Real Housewives of New Jersey star is saving us from having to deal with awkward camera angles in a cramped 2 bedroom apartment for season 7!
Back in April when the home went into foreclosure, just a few months after she entered prison, Teresa and Joe listed the house for sale – for $3 million. So far there haven’t been any potential takers and it looked like the Giudices would finally be getting the boot from the bank very soon as their attempts to contest it were denied last month. However, they pulled a last minute Hail Mary out of the sky and saved the house!
