Everyone starts a new year with good intentions, right? Even reality stars! While I'm sure they all have a bevy of things they'd like to improve upon (one would hope!) we thought we'd give them a little help in that department. Below are some of the New Year's Resolutions we wish some of our favorite reality stars would make.
Kim Kardashian: 'Please let my mom leave me alone – I resolve to try and say no to her and stop putting all my embarrassing and indecent moments on TV. I really don't want to have to pull a baby out of my vagina on Keeping Up With The Kardashians like Kourtney did. Does being pregnant mean my child has already sold its soul to E!? I hope not. And I resolve to let being pregnant get more media coverage than that icky divorce. Hopefully my next TV wedding will be less of a mess.'
We really, really hope ol' Kimmie Kakes embraces the notion of privacy. Especially less nudie pics on Twitter and less revealing clothing. We've already seen it all, anyway. #sextape #playboy
I hope that all of our RT readers had a wonderful, stress-free, family-filled Christmas that was devoid of drama…or at the very least, I hope you got some really delicious grub. Of course, what would the holidays be without craziness and chaos? I guess that's what the housewives are for, right?
The Real Housewives of Miami may see their whirlwind season coming to an end, but they certainly aren't going anywhere in the tabloid world. First up, Marysol Patton is talking about all things season three. Sadly, her friend Alexia Echevarria is not having a great holiday. She's been faced with her youngest son's horrible car accident, and now she and her husband are being investigated by the IRS. The only good news for Alexia is that her oldest son Peter will escaping jail time for assaulting a homeless man earlier in the year. Wow and wow. Merry Christmas to him!
If you're willing to sacrifice your dignity for a paycheck, Real Housewives isn't a bad gig. The first ladies of Bravo rake in big bucks to cause a ruckus and argue; in addition they get a massive platform for which to launch their products and tirelessly promote them. Of course, Bravo/NBC takes a cut of the profit but the ends justify the means, right?
RadarOnline decided to breakdown who earns what for the network. As to be expected the biggest earners are the biggest drama creators or have the most devoted fan following.
Teresa was able to renegotiate her contract and fought for a higher salary for season five, along with conditions, i.e. getting to add a friend or two to the cast. Rumor has it Teresa is by far the highest earning Jersey lady, beating out fellow veterans Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita. There's also rumors that Teresa is in talks to develop a cooking-lifestyle spinoff!
2012 is rapidly, rapidly coming to an end and before the Mayan Apocalypse claims us all make sure to catch up on all your 2012 reality TV marathons. Who doesn't need a 50th viewing of the infamous "Who gon' check me, boo?" argument.
In honor of the year coming to a close let's celebrate some of the best, craziest, and most entertaining reality TV star products to hit the market this year.
We all know there's only one reason to appear on these shows right? Product hawking!
Below is Reality Tea's list of the best products of 2012:
I can now say with certainty that Real Housewives of Orange County'sVicki Gunvalson's love tank is no longer being filled by Brooks Ayers. What? No more daily affirmations? No more crawfish boils? No more rented furs? I wonder what happened there…I'm guessing that she got tired of spending all her money on him. Vicki recently chatted about all things Season 8, grandson Troy, and bacon vodka. What is the housewives' obsession with having their own liquor line?
Also in RHOC news, Tamra Barney is shopping for her wedding duds and bringing along the majority of her co-stars…whether she's friends with them or thinks they are fake air heads. That's right. Vicki, Heather Dubrow, Gretchen Rossi, former cast member Lauri Waring Peterson, new housewife Lydia Stirling McLaughlin, and dun dun dun dun…Alexis Bellino (what?) all accompanied Tammy on her trek to find the perfect gown. I'm sure that was fun!
Our favorite Real Housewives can’t get enough of the spotlight during their regularly scheduled time slots, so they take to Twitter to share even more of their daily lives with us. And we love them for it! Here’s a roundup of the Real Housewives' Thanksgiving! Enjoy!
Now there is speculation that said mystery brunette could be a new cast member. Her name is Lydia Stirling McLaughlin, and she's a thirty-one-year-old heiress, business woman, and mother of two with ties to both Heather Dubrow and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills'Lisa Vanderpump.
Aaahhh… the holidays. So much to be thankful for, so many blessings to count. I don't know about y'all but I'm thankful for reality TV. I mean, what's not to love? I get to appreciate drama without personally getting involved, it makes me feel better about my own life, and I get paid to complain about said drama starters – while drinking wine.
So thanks Andy Cohen, et al for giving me a reason to be thankful. Because without the embarrassing antics of our favorite reality stars I'd be forced to actually focus on my own life. Ew.
Below are our favorite reasons we're thankful for reality TV this Thanksgiving.
