TLC aired a new one hour special with Kate Gosselin Monday night, during which she revealed more details about her life and family.
When it came to estranged husband Jon Gosselin, Kate revealed, “A part of me always will [love Jon],” she says. “It’s hard to to be married to somebody for 10 years and try to say I, ‘No, I don’t love them anymore.’ It doesn’t work really well. I love the memories that we have together.” Kate reveals she has no alternative but to keep pursuing what has become the primary source of income for herself and her eight children. “At this point, I can’t go back,” she says.
As for the reason she chooses to keep the cameras involved in her kids’ lives, “We can’t turn life off,” she says. “You’re viewing our lives; yes, you can turn it off. I can’t turn life off. In the last nine, 10 months, it’s gotten real crazy, and I can’t seem to get away from it. I just want peace for my kids.”
Kate is also hoping she can continue filming her own reality show, Kate Plus Eight, along with her eight children. She adds: “I signed up for a reality show, I didn’t sign up to be a tabloid staple. If I said I was done and it was enough, it would just be five more covers of why it is that I’m done, and so I would be living that for a period of time essentially with no income, with no job.”
Kate also reveals she has little support from her friends and family, as most of them have been either driven away or corrupted by the media’s fascination with the family’s self-destruction. Kate’s own brother, Kevin Krieder, has sold her out on multiple occasions by giving paid interviews to the press. Back in May, Kevin told RadarOnline that Kate shows more interest in her fame as a TV personality, speaker and author than she does as a mother, her brother and sister-in-law.
