A smiling Kate Gosselin (a rarity) and her eight children were spotted at the Australia Brisbane Airport on Tuesday for what is being described as a family vacation.
And it wouldn’t be a Gosselin family vacation without a camera crew in tow of course. According to the HollywoodLife, Kate and her plus 8 were accompanied by cameramen, a sound technician, her beloved bodyguard/rumored beau Steve Nield, and two nannies who are pictured above with her.
Kate, 35, is having the family vacation filmed for her TLC show Kate Plus 8. RadarOnline is also reporting that Kate’s ex-husband Jon Gosselin tried to stop the vacation from happening.
“Kate told Jon about the trip, and when he did not agree it was decided that the judge should intervene and the ruling went in her favor,” a source explains. “It was another slap in the face for Jon because he did not want the kids to go to Australia.”
As for the reason Jon was so against the trip down under, the source reveals that “Jon had plans to get together with his kids and friends for New Year, but now he will not see them until they return in the middle of January. He was scheduled to have them this weekend, but there was nothing he could do as the decision was taken out of his hands.”
Jon is reportedly trying to put on a brave face though he is described as being disappointed at not being able to be with his kids for the New Year. A source adds that “the judge ruled that because it was for work it was okay.” Wowzers.
