News flash! Brandi Glanville of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is not, I repeat IS NOT, a mean girl. Like, in no way, shape, or form, has fame gone to her head, and she is just as down to earth as she was when she was in a plane, season two, high on Xanax. That’s how down to earth she is.
RadarOnline.com is reporting that Brandi is very troubled by the recent gossip of her diva behavior. However, a source close to Bravo (where else?) tells the site that Brandi is playing for the cameras for more of a story line.

The insider reveals, “Brandi is a very smart girl, and when the cameras start rolling, she really turns on the waterworks. Brandi is now claiming that Taylor [Armstrong] is insanely jealous of her and making her life hell. Brandi is turning out to be one great actress because when the cameras stop rolling she is a completely different person. Brandi and Taylor both have been drinking a lot when filming. Brandi says she is drinking to cope with all of the ongoing drama, but she is the one who is stirring it up. Brandi is accusing Taylor and Kyle [Richards] of talking about her behind her back and spreading rumors about her.” She’s shocked by this? Wasn’t she on the show last season?
According the source, Lisa Vanderpump is coming to Brandi’s defense at every turn. Is it just me, or does anyone else love the diabolical-ness of this twosome in the new season? The source tells the site that Lisa “inserts herself into every situation. Lisa says she doesn’t have time for the drama, or doesn’t want to get involved. Yet Lisa always seems to be at the center, which she loves. For anyone to believe that Brandi is a victim is ridiculous, she is a very smart and strong girl, she is absolutely no shrinking violet. Brandi was very smart to align herself with Lisa because she is so close to Bravo executive, Andy Cohen. Brandi would love to have her own spin-off show, just like Lisa.” Call me crazy, but I don’t think this “source” is Team Brandi.
The insider seems to soften a bit, discussing Brandi’s struggles with ex-husband Eddie Cibrian and new wife Leann Rimes. The source explains, “What is absolutely obvious is that Brandi is extremely insecure and very unhappy. It’s truly sad to see. She is a totally different person than she was during the second season and it’s not for the better.”
And there you have it…from Radar. Or Kyle. Regardless, I can’t wait to see the friendship between Lisa and Brandi grow on the next season. They may be smug (Lisa), and they may be crazy (Brandi), but compared to their counterparts, they are fun and relatively drama free. Bring it!
