Record Producer Memphitz Wright Sues L&HHA’s K. Michelle For Defamation

The season of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta may be over, but the drama for one cast member is just heating up in the form a multi-million dollar lawsuit. 

As you recall, on the show K. Michelle often spoke emotionally spoke of a past abusive relationship with her record producer that skewed her view on men and gave her a reputation for being unhinged in the business.  While she never named her alleged abuser, it is well-known in the hip-hop world that K. Michelle had a volatile relationship with ex Memphitz Wright.  Now the record producer has filed a defamation suit against K. Michelle wanting millions in damages.

While Memphitz denies all of the abuse accusations and maintains that he never laid a hand on K. Michelle, she is sticking to her story.  She tells TMZ, "I've always been told that the truth shall set you free. I stand behind my story 100%. I came on the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta show mainly because I wanted to give a voice and bring light to a very serious issue."

K. Michelle continues, "I am very grateful to VH1 and Monami Ent. for the opportunity to tell my story, and touch lives worldwide … I look forward to having my day in court and finally having the truth of my story confirmed in a court of law."

The hip hop starlet is ready to fight Memphitz's defamation allegations.  K. Michelle has retained attorney Matt Middleton to fight her ex in court.  Memphitz is suing over comments made on the show about an unnamed record producer who "beat her a$$." 

K. Michelle won't back down and hopes that her story will inspire other women in similar situations.  She shares, "Hopefully others will not have to go through this and then have their stories challenged to this degree because people now want to try to salvage whatever reputation they may have had."
