If y'all are anything like me, you're waiting on pins and needles for the premiere of season five of the Real Housewives of New Jersey. Season four went out with a bang, so I can only imagine the drama that will ensue among Teresa Giudice, Jacqueline Laurita, Melissa Gorga, Kathy Wakile, and Carolina Manzo. Thankfully, we only have to wait a couple more months, as the craziness starts on June 2nd!
As if you don't already know these ladies better than some of your family members, Bravo always likes to update the women's bios with all things bright and happy. There is nary a mention of Posche fashion shows or strippers or a cousin Rosie meltdown. You've got to love Bravo's positive spin! In anticipation of the new season, let's re-introduce ourselves to the Jersey girls, shall we?

Caroline fancies herself the show's matriarch (whether others would agree is another story), and she has been married to Albert for almost thirty years. Together they have three children–Albie, 27, Lauren, 25; and Christopher, 24–who are regular staples on the show as well. When Caroline isn't busy promoting her family's BLK Water endeavor and Cafface Beauty Bar, she has an iTunes podcast called "Let Me Tell You Something," which serves as a family sounding board every week.
Teresa is the Housewife that garners the most attention whether positive or negative. Her fans are the fiercest and most loyal, while her detractors…well, they can get pretty feisty as well. When she's not tending to her four daughters and launching bellinis or hair care products, she's penning New York Times bestselling cookbooks and working overtime to keep up appearances. Married to Juicy Joe for thirteen years, Tre is quick to say that their marriage is perfect and there is never trouble in paradise. Plea bargains? What plea bargains?
Kathy is Tre's cousin, and while the two don't always see eye-to-eye (remember the reunion? Sheesh!), family always comes second to product endorsements first with this crew. Kathy and husband Rich have been married for twenty-one years and have two children, the hilarious Joseph, 17 and the level-headed Victoria, 19. Kathy is new to the product hawking, but she's learning from the best with her dessert line and Red Velvet Cosmo cocktail.
Everyone's favorite (#sarcasm) mommy turned popstar, Melissa is Teresa's nemesis sister-in-law. She's been married to Tre's brother Joe for eight years, and the couple has three kids. A newly minted recording artist, she's had several songs make the top ten R&B charts on iTunes. Following in Tre's footprints, Melissa's first book, Love Italian Style: Secrets of My Hot and Happy Marriage, will be released in September. Regardless of what she's doing, Melissa loves being On Display!
Jacqueline has been married to Caroline's brother Chris for almost twelve years, and together they have two sons. She also has a Ashlee, 22, from a previous relationship, and the mother daughter duo is constantly butting heads over Ashlee's "decisions." Last season, viewers saw a different, darker side of the normally cheery and even-keeled wife and mother. Unbeknownst to fans at the time, Jacqueline was dealing with her youngest son's Autism diagnosis. Now a huge advocate for Autism awareness, Jacq is also opening her Altruistic Beauty Medspa in the fall of this year.
