Farrah Abraham Checks Into Luxury Rehab For Alcohol Abuse!

Exxxotica Expo 2013

Oh, Farrah Abraham. What next in your incessant quest for attention? I don't even think I want to imagine!

In the latest, the former Teen Mom star who has risen in the ranks of tabloid fame thanks to a certain sex tape, has announced that she is checking into an outpatient rehab for alcohol abuse. Farrah, who is the "epitome of perfection," recently pled guilty to a DUI and is now hoping to "focus on her sobriety."

Farrah will spend 10 days of intensive counseling at The Lukens Institute in Palm Beach Gardens, Fl. Farrah sees seeking treatment at the luxury facility as a "preemptive step" to help her better manage her alcohol use. As part of the $12,000 outpatient care, Farrah will be able to go about her daily life but will be monitored by a sober companion. Farrah's dad will be caring for Sophia while she is getting help.

"At this time in my life, I need to stay focused on the positive to get through all of the negative that a DUI has caused in my life," Farrah tells RadarOnline.

Wait – I thought the DUI wasn't Farrah's fault and wasn't actually a DUI since she was just moving her car and hadn't really been planning to drive. I should probably stop trying to make sense of crazy. Anyway, Farrah believes this is the perfect time in her life to seek help!

“I’m 22 and I want to make better choices and ensure I can recognize when I am putting myself in a bad situation next time,” Farrah says. Too bad she didn't have this sentiment before the sex tape…

As part of her probation because of the DUI, Farrah was required to take alcohol education classes. Farrah passed the course, but according to notes from Phyllis K. Moczygemba, the director of the program, she was a nightmare during classes.

Farrah “had difficulty making eye contact, was standoffish and was sarcastic when answering the questions asked of her,” according to the director who recommended that Farrah seek further help for her alcohol issues, including 6 months of treatment and 12 months of aftercare. Um… ouch!

Ms. Abraham does meet the criteria for substance abuse,” Ms. Moczygemba's report concluded. Well I guess it's a good thing she's getting help then!

Is this, dare I say it, Farrah taking accountability for her actions? I think I might need to lie down…
