Mama June the matriarch of the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo fam has just announced that there will be no more pageants. But what reason do I have to watch the show if not for June belting out "Shake It, Smoochie!" in the audience?!
Apparently Honey Boo Boo is so busy pursuing a career in reality TV that the reason she became famous – pageantry – is just too time consuming! Bummer.

“We’re done,” Mama June confesses to In Touch Weekly. “We haven’t done a pageant for a while, because we’re so busy with our show and school and life in general.”
"Alana’s trying different things," June explains, "but I don’t think she’s found that new niche yet that she wants to get into.”
Boo Boo "misses the stage" apparently, but has tons of friends left in the biz! “We still have all our pageant friends. We go along and cheer on our other pageant friends.”
Dang – this is such a bummer! One of the reasons I love this show is the redemption of Honey being the unlikely pageant queen who wins with charisma and spunk! I also adore seeing them prepare for the pageants and bringing their own flavor to the whole shebang. I guess the family is fun and entertaining enough without pageants but I'm still disappointed.
