Former Real Housewives Of New York Star Alex McCord In A Lawsuit Over Bedding Brand

'One Life To Live' And 'All My Children' Premiere - Red Carpet Arrivals

Geez, I'd almost forgotten about Alex McCord until now. Wasn't she once on Real Housewives of New York? I kid, I kid. Alex and husband Simon Van Kempen left Bravo in search of a much higher thread count. After getting canned from the Manhattan franchise, the couple created a high-end bedding brand called Aluxe.

Unfortunately for Alex and Simon, someone allegedly tried to steal her thunder with a copycat line that duplicates every aspect of their business. Holy sheet!

According to TMZ, Alex and Simon are now waging a law suit against former partner Vivian Douek for hijacking their ridiculously expensive line of bath and bedding products.

In the suit, Alex claims that her business was incredibly successful, and things with her and Vivian's brand was going great until Vivian decided to steal their livelihood by sneaking around to create her own line. Alex alleges that Vivian has now built a competing mass of bed and bath linens with the intent to take all of Alex's customers with her.

If that isn't damning enough, Alex states in her suit that Vivian has even employed the same manufacturing company to produce her Egyptian cotton wares. NOOOO!!! Alex reveals that because of Vivian's sheety behavior (sorry), Aluxe lost close to $100 million dollars in sales over the last year. That's a lot of towels, folks!
