TLC’s latest polygamist show, My Five Wives promised to bring an “honest, fresh look at this very controversial lifestyle,” when it premiered last summer. But what they failed to mention was that the show would follow star, Brady Williams, not just in his relationships with his wives: Paulie, Robyn, Rosemary, Nonie, and Rhonda along with their 24 children. But also as he went head-first into debt.

Earlier this year, Brady took the drastic step to file for bankruptcy claiming to only have a little over $3.00 in his savings account, but having over $400,000 in debt. But now a judge has smiled down on him and wiped away three-quarters of his debt.

When Brady Williams of My Five Wives filed for bankruptcy earlier this year, his list of assets was actually pretty sad. TMZ obtained the filing and Brady reported his assets as:

    – Real estate holdings — $10,215.

    – Ford Fiesta — $7,000

    – 2 Kia Spectra Hatchbacks — $3,000 each

    – Chevy Cavalier — $931

    – Dodge Durango — $2,647

    – Honda ATV — $150

    – wedding ring — $50

    – lawn mower — $20

    – wallet money — $22

    – savings account — $3.61

Not much when you consider his debts included: $180,000 in credit card debt and business loan worth $100K.

But now a judge has wiped away $318,000 of his debt. Just made it go away. But the things that did not go away — his ginormous family which is what put him in debt in the first place. But also what got him reality fame on My Five Wives.

Good luck Brady! You might want to consider putting some of your 24 kids to work so this does not happen again!
