Kandi Burruss Talks Porsha Williams’s Fit Of Anger & Daughter Riley’s Music Career

Kandi Burruss is getting a lot of heat this season for sharing her opinions, but I feel like it’s about time she opens up after staying quiet for so long. Don’t get me started on her Kandi Koated Clique, but I do think she is usually in the right when it comes to standing up to Phaedra Parks and Porsha Williams. And to be honest, Porsha was out of control during the last episode when she went off against Kandi and Kenya Moore. It sure does not seem like Porsha stuck with those anger management classes.

Kandi doesn’t seem to care about that drama though. I feel like she’s just on RHOA to collect her check and promote her many products. And now that her daughter Riley Burruss is following her musical foot steps, Kandi probably doesn’t have the time for Porsha and her desperate reaches to create story lines. Don’t even get me started on her “relationship” this season. But since Kandi is a Real Housewife, she’s basically required to share her opinions on what goes down and that includes Porsha’s anger issues.

That last episode was an absolute mess when it came to that group dinner. Porsha got way too heated given the context of the situation. Plus, she really should have directed her anger at Phaedra if she was upset that Phaedra talked about her anger management sessions, not Kenya for what Phaedra told her. And here’s the other thing: SHE WENT TO THERAPY ON TV. So no matter how “private” she wanted to be, we were all going to find out about her anger management “progress” anyway, so in the grand scheme of things she truly did blow up for no reason.

Nevertheless, it made for a wild scene – that’s for sure. When asked about Porsha’s reaction, Kandi said in her latest Bravo blog, “I didn’t understand why Porsha got so offended when Kenya said that Phaedra told her Porsha wanted to tell us how her anger management was going.” Probably because – oh I don’t know – she has ANGER MANAGEMENT ISSUES.

Kandi continued, “She got an attitude, and it went down hill from there. Porsha could’ve easily said, ‘Phaedra must’ve misunderstood me, because I’m not ready to discuss it,’ but instead it became this big back and forth.” She could have easily shut that situation down and came off looking like a changed woman, but instead, she totally fell for it when Kenya baited her. Total rookie move. Shaking. My. Damn. Head.

Kandi was also asked, “Why do you think things got so heated with Porsha?” BECAUSE SHE HAS ANGER MANAGEMENT ISSUES. Duh. Again. That is the answer to everything. Beyond that, Kandi tried her best to explain the incident, but she really had no genuine answer to justify Porsha’s extreme behavior.

Kandi recalled, “I wanted to stop Kenya and Porsha from going back and forth, so I tried to tell Kenya to stop, because obviously Porsha wasn’t taking what Kenya was saying positively. So I asked the question in what I thought was a calm, cool way that shouldn’t have been offensive, but Porsha got snappy with me, so I got snappy back.”

It was strange seeing the typically calm Kandi come back at Porsha. Kandi explained, “I’ve never been one to respond kindly to people talking to me crazily. It was really a dumb argument. I’m normally am very laid back, but if you talk to me in a tone I don’t like, I will cuss your ass out.”

I don’t know if fighting fire with fire will actually help Porsha learn a lesson, but I don’t blame anyone for snapping back at Porsha. She just seems like she is way too much to deal with.

And that’s especially true for Kandi who is busy running her empire, taking care of her kids, and being a wife. Kandi’s daughter Riley is following in her footsteps by taking a stab at a musical career of her own. We don’t know all of the details (yet), but Kandi shared a photo of the pair: “We were looking at 2 different cameras but we are 1! I’m so proud of @rileyburruss. Can’t wait for you to hear her music!”

Aside from the announcement of Riley’s upcoming music, the thing that really caught me was how Kandi and Riley could be twins. I’m sure we will hear more about Riley’s music on social media and most likely on the show.
