I had no idea that William Shatner has such strong opinions about The Bachelor and Dancing With the Stars, but IÂ cannot stop laughing. William has been adamantly campaigning to get Nick Viall booted from the ballroom in a series of impassioned tweets. I feel like I have finally identified the one person who takes reality TV more seriously than I do.
Sure, I feel bad for Nick, but Shatnerâs devotion to both of these shows is just entertainment to me. He went on and on an on and on trying to rally support to vote for every contestant other than Nick.

Iâm not sure if William Shatner has a stronger passion for loving Dancing With the Stars or hating Nick, but this man takes The Bachelor seriously â something I can absolutely relate to.
He pulled no punches by tweeting, âMy goal for #DWTSÂ is to knock Bachelor Nick out ASAP. Who is with me?â Not at all subtle with that one. Of course, there was a divided response to that. Some people called him out for bullying and others rallied behind him. Shatner tweeted, âSo let me get this straight, saying vote for anyone but Nick is bullying but saying vote for ______ is OK? Sorry my tweeter but youâre wrong.â
One fan tweeted, âGo David Ross,â Shatner quoted the tweet and wrote, âWhoever your favorite is â just not Nick â make the 10 phone calls for them.â
Shatner asked, âHow do we get #BachelorNation to not vote for Nick?â This is a very interesting question since Nick has a polarizing presence in Bachelor Nation â to put it lightly. One viewer told William, â#BachelorNation hates Nick, no worries,â and he responded, âWell then get them to call or go online to vote against him!â
Nick is infamous for returning to the Bachelor franchise after losing out on love three times. One fan tweeted, â I think @viallnicholas28 should win so he doesnât have to return 3 more times,â and the Star Trek alum did not play into that joke AT ALL. He just quoted it and posted, âNo! He needs to go next week!â
Someone suggested, âGet everyone else to not vote for him,â and William replied, âIâm trying!â He sure is. Maybe a little too much.
William created the hash tag #DontVote4Nick and one fan said, âI think @viallnicholas28 is kind of sensitive. You may break his heart,â which didnât faze him at all. He tweeted, âAnd your point?â Damn.

William showed his devotion as a Bachelor viewer when he responded to a fan asking why he didnât like Nick. William wrote, âWatch Andiâs Bachelorette season where he started this Viall journey,â obviously a play on the word vile. He added, âLeopards donât change their spots. Donât be surprised if he shows up again on Paradise. I wonât be.â
William said, âHe lives up to the homonym of his last name.â He encouraged fans to vote for âanyone but the vile one.â
I could quote the rest of his tweets telling people not to vote for Nick, but Iâm sure you get the point by now. I do want to point out that he asked for people to kick Nick off as an early birthday present to himself â that seems like a lame âgiftâ to me.
Nick canât catch a break when it comes to the social media haters. Still, he had no words for Shatnerâs incessant posts. He just tweeted him a frowning face.
Nickâs partner Peta Murgatroyd sent Shatner three crying emojis and he responded to her by saying, âPeta, you know I love you. Congratulations on becoming a mommy. Just canât cheer you on this season. Love to Maks & Shia.â This man is way to into this show â and that is coming from me, a person who is way too into most reality shows. Even Iâm not at this level. Peta replied, âHaHa Itâs OK! Thanks for the love! Shai is amazingâ with a kiss face emoji.
I wonder if this âcampaignâ will actually influence the voters. But seriously, I would love to watch reality TV with William Shatner. Sure, we donât have the same opinions about everything, but he has the utmost enthusiasm.
TELL US â IS WILLIAM SHATNER BULLYING NICK OR DOES HE HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE PASSIONATE ABOUT A FAVORITE TV SHOW? WHOSE SIDE ARE YOU ON?
