Jules & Michael

Jules Wainstein’s Electricity Shut Off; She Spends Five-Figure Child Support Payment In 2 Days?

Ironically enough, the drama really turned up in Jules Wainstein’s life after she got the ax on Real Housewives of New York. Unfortunately for her (and her children), the issues between Jules and her soon-to-be ex-husband Michael Wainstein seem to be getting worse. His attorney alleges that Jules went through a five-figure child support payment in TWO DAYS.

Apparently that money didn’t go toward the home electric bill since the electric was shut down at the family residence where their two kids live. This would have been a super juicy story line on Real Housewives of New York… so I can see why Jules might be happy that her reality TV career was over before it really began.

Jules’s lawyer insists that Michael was the one responsible for paying the electric bill. So what did she spend $12,000 on? According to Page Six, Jules “spends freely on Amazon orders, food from Seamless, shoes from Zappos, and deliveries from the online app Postmasters.”

What could she be ordering that takes priority over providing electricity for her children? This just blows my mind (if it’s true). Not only that, but Michael‘s lawyer also alleged that Jules got $25,000 from the sale of their car. Where is this money going?

After reports that Jules reportedly spent $2,000 on Uber for the first fifteen days of October 2016, it’s really not surprising that Michael alleges that “his soon-to-be ex-wife’s extravagant lifestyle has left him broke.” He also insists that he cannot afford the $10,000 monthly support payments and asked to pay $2,5000 instead.

Michael’s lawyer claimed, “The amounts that he’s paid the defendant in just the last few months eclipse his annual income.” Apparently Jules thinks Michael is hiding money. The Page Six article notes that the two of them didn’t pay taxes from 2008 to 2015. What is with people not paying taxes and joining a reality TV show? It’s happened way too many times to count.

The judge noted, “The picture of him being someone rolling in money is not emerging.” Obviously.

I hoped that things would calm down between Jules and Michael for the sake of their two children, but that doesn’t seem possible at this point. It’s still unclear to me if Bravo dropped Jules or if she left on her own (which I always find tough to believe), but this definitely would have made for an interesting story line.
