Real Housewives of Orange County alum Gretchen Rossi just shared some big news! She and her longtime fiance Slade Smiley are expecting their first child together. They have been very public about their struggles to conceive and their journey with IVF. Now, they are just as open about their good news.
The couple revealed the pregnancy during an episode of The Doctors. Gretchen shared, “After the first round of IVF, when we lost 14 embryos, I looked at Slade and I was like, ‘I just need to take a pause.'”
She confessed, “This was beyond anything I had ever expected to experience. It literally took a good year and a half for us to even get to a point where I was willing to talk about it again.” Wow. Poor Gretchen.

Slade added, “The suffering for me comes from seeing my partner have to suffer.”
After detailing the “emotional journey,” a tearful Gretchen announced, “Finally! We have news that we are pregnant!” Slade interjected, “And we’re freaked out!” He immediately clarified, “But in a good way!”
Congratulations to the couple! This pregnancy has been a long time coming! Now there are just two more questions. When will the engaged pair tie the knot? She proposed back in 2013.
Will they return to Real Housewives of Orange County? The last season was far from eventful. Any cast changes will be very much welcomed. Well, not by Tamra Judge, but it seems like pretty much everyone else would be down for a Gretchen return. Plus Slade is an OG, kind of sort of.
