Last night’s episode of 90 Day Fiance didn’t disappoint! Secrets were revealed and relationships were questioned. This episode gave me just enough crazy to be able to make it through the week thankful for small annoyances. I spent half the episode just shaking my head in disbelief. I don’t know what we did to deserve this show, but it is the gift that keeps on giving. It’s tough to know where to start. There were so many cringe-worthy moments.
Tania races to meet Syngin at the airport in time for a special surprise. Anna introduces Mursel to her mother and reveals a secret. Emily and Sasha have a tense meeting with his ex-wife. Allegations during an interview may prevent Juliana from coming to the U.S. Let’s get straight into the 90 Day Fiance recap!
Tania, 29 (Colchester, Connecticut) and Syngin, 29 (South Africa)
When we last saw Tania she was excited to finally see her man, Syngin, in her country. Along with her friends, she decided to bring champagne and roses to welcome him to America. Okay…. I think the only one shocked by the gesture was the poor elderly man whose job was to make sure the airport was clean. Did this woman really think she could just treat a public place like it was her home? Nonetheless, when Syngin arrives he drops his bags and runs straight into Tania’s arms as she cries tears of joy.
Things get awkward when the group comes back to Tania’s hotel room and her friends just stare at Syngin. He is forced to ask him to leave to have some sexy time alone with Tania. The overzealous friends promptly return exactly two hours later so they ALL can head out on the streets of New York. I have to say this whole situation is odd to me. Not one of the two friends told Tania it may not be a good idea to plan a group outing Syngin’s FIRST day in America? It didn’t cross anyone’s mind that he may be tired or just want to be alone with Tania after 6 months apart?

Syngin receives a sweet surprise when he is blindfolded in Times Square to find a banner thanking him for moving. I’m sure Tania has good intentions, but if she doesn’t start picking up on obvious clues, she is going to run that man off.
Anna, 38 (Bellevue, Nebraska) and Mursel, 38 (Turkey)
Mursel Mistanoglu is the reality TV gift that just keeps on giving. There is something very sweet and innocent about him. How can anyone dislike him? I spoke too soon, apparently, it’s very easy for Anna Campisi’s family. There is an extremely awkward moment when Mursel tries to hug each of them with a cheek to cheek hug. The first issue is that they can’t communicate with him without using an app. The second is there are clearly numerous cultural differences. Anna’s oldest son wants to make it clear that he isn’t just going to make it easy for him to join their family.
Anna takes her oldest son, Gino, and Mursel to have lunch with her mother, Charlene. She is nervous for her mother to meet Mursel due to her views on Turkish people. When Charlene arrives she greets Mursel warmly. Things go all the way left when the waitress takes drink orders and Anna feels compelled to asks Mursel if she can order a beer. He is a conservative Muslim and doesn’t drink, which is a stark contrast to Anna. Charlene, Anna’s mom, then asks Charlene’s son to type on the translator app “please don’t stone my daughter” for drinking. Wow! I felt so bad for Mursel. He was clearly confused about why Charlene would think he would do that.

Things go from bad to worse when Charlene asks about what Mursel’s family thinks about Anna having kids. Mursel admits he has kept the children a secret from his family. Having children out of wedlock is frowned upon in Turkey so he doesn’t want to upset his family.
Charlene is shocked when she finds out Anna wanted to leave her children and move to Turkey to be with Mursel. When Anna refused, Mursel decided to move to the United States instead. Anna asks Mursel if he will leave her if his family finds out about her children, he replies “maybe.” Sigh! I thought these two may have had the best chance out of all the couples. At least no one can say he didn’t tell her the truth up front.
All hope for Anna’s kids to give Mursel a chance went out the window when she invited her son to witness this train wreck of a conversation. Anna, I think you may be setting you and yourself up for heartbreak if you are already beginning this relationship with your kids being his dirty secret.
Robert, 41 (Winter Park, Florida) and Anny, 30 (Dominican Republic)
Robert meets with one of his friends who happens to be from the Dominican Republic. The friend has serious doubts about his relationship and believes he is being used by Anny for a green card. Robert is warned that more than likely she will leave him once she gets her citizenship. Although Robert respects his friend’s opinion, he doesn’t think Anny is that type of girl. After witnessing the angry emojis Anny sent when she didn’t get money, she seems exactly like that type of girl.
After Robert and his son, Bryson, prepare the house for Anny’s arrival, they head to the airport. Bryson has a meltdown in the airport while they wait, but is all smiles when he sees Anny. She seems equally happy to see Robert and his son. Hmm… there may be some hope yet.

When they return to the apartment, Anny realizes she is going to become an instant mom. Not only is little Bryson a rambunctious child, but he will be sleeping in the bed with Anny and Robert EVERY night. Robert, did you not think this out, bro? This woman seems to really like your child, but she isn’t his mother. To expect her to sleep in the bed with him every night in a budding relationship is a bit weird. If things don’t work out, Robert will be hurting son for a woman who he has only spent a total of 8 hours with in person.
Anny isn’t happy to see her new living conditions. She was expecting sex with Robert on her first night, not a child snuggling with her. If Anny is truly a gold digger, that will be revealed pretty quickly in this house. Robert won’t even buy his son a bed, I highly doubt he will buy her Gucci and gold.
Emily, 28 (Portland, Oregon) and Sasha, 31 (Russia)
At nine months pregnant, Emily decides to meet with Sasha’s ex-wife. The goal is to create a co-parenting relationship where she will feel comfortable to allow Sasha’s oldest son to be in her care. Sasha’s ex is straight to the point. When she sits down she immediately asks “why did you want to meet me.” When Sasha explains the situation, his ex-wife wonders why he would even want to leave Russia. During the heated conversation, Emily interrupts and wants to know if their son will be allowed to visit in America or not. His son will be able to visit if he chooses to in the future. Based on the information we received from the ex, she sees Emily as nothing more than just a future ex-wife. Obviously, no woman or even his children have been able to keep Sasha in a relationship. So, I am inclined to agree.
Sasha is leaving his family and children to basically start a new life in America. Personally, this would be a red flag to me. If he is okay with leaving his other children, what would make him stick around for Emily’s child?
Michael, 41 (Greenwich, Connecticut) and Juliana, 23 (Brazil)
While shopping for a gift for Juliana, Michael receives a call from her about a purchase she is attempting to make. We learn that she has been burning through Michael’s credit cards quite often. She even bought a car despite her intention to move to U.S. Hmm….Michael definitely seems like a textbook sugar daddy to me.
Michael arrives in Brazil to support Juliana in her K1 Visa interview. This man is clearly going through a mid-life crisis and thinking with the head below his belt. Just watching them together, it’s glaringly obvious there is a huge difference in their age and maturity levels. It’s like watching a teenager with her father. Ewww.

Juliana and Michael get ready to go to the most important interview of their lives. They are both extremely nervous after she has been denied twice for a visitor visa. Cameras weren’t permitted inside the consulate, but we later find out things went badly. Juliana is asked if she first met Michael as an escort. Part of me feels bad that she was insulted in that way and another part of me can understand why the question was posed. She is from an extremely poor area, but has traveled all over the world and now has a rich America fiancé. Michael is livid and plans to speak with this attorney about their options.
Michael takes Juliana to the beach to contemplate what will happen if they are denied again. He isn’t going to be able to continue visiting Brazil every other month forever. He also isn’t going to leave his kids to move somewhere permanently with Juliana. At this point, he has started to wonder if there is something he doesn’t know about Juliana’s background. I guess we will have to continue to watch to find out if any secrets are revealed.
TELL US- DO YOU THINK TANIA SHOULD HAVE LEFT HER FRIENDS AT HOME FOR SYNGIN’S FIRST DAY IN THE US? DO YOU THINK ANNY IS JUST USING ROBERT FOR A GREEN CARD? DO YOU THINK JULIANA WAS EVER AN ESCORT? SHOULD ANNA ALLOW MURSEL TO KEEP HER KIDS A SECRET? DO YOU THINK EMILY IS SETTING HERSELF UP TO BE SASHA’S EX-WIFE?
