Austen Kroll Says Southern Charm Cast Received Death Threats When He Posted Photo At A Bar During Coronavirus Outbreak

We all know that social distancing is the go-to move during this Coronavirus outbreak. That’s why lots of Instagram users chastised Austen Kroll when he posted a photo with Craig Conover, Kathryn Dennis, and Madison LeCroy at a crowded bar.

Commenters ripped into Austen for the decision during this chaotic time. But, some of them went way too far, actually sending death threats to the Southern Charm cast members.

In a follow-up Instagram post, Austen shared a photo with Craig and Whitney Sudler-Smith celebrating St. Patrick’s Day… sitting about twenty feet apart from each other. In the post, Austen wrote, “St. Paddy’s has a different vibe this year. Rest assured we heard many of your outcries AND death threats, which we for some reason normalize/internalize, and are practicing social distancing.”

Yes, it was irresponsible for the Southern Charm crew to be in a crowded bar during a pandemic. However, that does not warrant death threats. Who would actually do that? If you really care so much, then send a kind, informative message to create a learning opportunity. The death threats were absolutely out of line.

Austen’s post continued to poke fun at to emphasize that the group is social distancing. Austen wrote, “@wsudlersmith was gracious enough to provide us with the Bourbon, which we had to pick up once he placed it down on the ground away from us. SIDE NOTE: The price of the bourbon he supplied increased with every story he told #20feet.”
