Kate Chastain Below Deck

Kate Chastain Hints At New TV Venture Following Below Deck Departure

It will be a new era when Below Deck returns for Season 8. Don’t worry, Captain Lee Rosbach is still be onboard. However, six-season Chief Stew Kate Chastain is done with Below Deck forever. And, to be honest, I don’t blame her. Working on yacht just seems so exhausting.

But, talking shit on reality TV sure seems like a fun gig, and something that Kate excels at. So will she be back on our screens sometime soon?

During a recent episode of the Everything Iconic With Danny Pellegrino podcast, Danny Pellegrino mentioned that Andy Cohen recently hinted that Kate will be back on reality TV at some point. Then Danny asked Kate, “Will you be on TV again?”

Kate began, “Well, I moved to New York in May right after I got back from shooting the most recent season in Thailand.”

Kate went on to explain, “I knew I was ready to leave yachting and I just figured there would be more opportunity for me in the city. So far, that’s proven to be true. I’m so glad I moved to New York because I’m in a city where there’s a lot of stuff going on.”

Then, Kate hinted, “I think, I have a feeling, it’s nothing I can really talk about, but I have a feeling I might be onscreen again.”

Even though Kate will not be back on Below Deck, she still has the scoop on the upcoming season. Danny asked Kate, “Do you know who’s filling in for you on Below Deck? It’s someone we know, right?”

Kate revealed, “No, no. It’s exactly who I expected, the type of person I expected. I expected a blonde yachtie girl with like possibly an accent.” Kate also revealed that Captain Lee called her while shooting Season 8. Aaww. I’m gonna miss seeing their friendship on screen.
