Even before Real Housewives of Orange County Season 15 got started, Kelly Dodd was serving up controversy. She described coronavirus as “God’s way of thinning the herd.” She said that no one in Orange County is dying from coronavirus. Kelly posted memes about coronavirus and declared that the pandemic is over, despite the fact that people are still getting sick and some are dying.
Kelly also offended a lot of people when she wore a “Drunk Wives Matter” hat. As a result, some former fans are boycotting this season of the show.
Gina Kirschenheiter addressed this during an ET interview. She said, “I do think that if somebody really has been offended and feels that they’ve been victimized by something that she’s said.” Gina added, “I understand if they want to take a stand and they don’t want to watch.”
Gina remarked, “She just can’t get out of her own way. I don’t agree with any of it, I don’t like any of it.” She also said, “I do think that there are five other women here, and there [are] a lot of very important things happening to a lot of us and maybe you can just fast forward through her parts.”

Gina added, “She’ll say anything for the joke, but she doesn’t understand she’s not a comedian. She’s just on a show where she’s just a public figure and so, it’s hard because I want to believe that she doesn’t mean a lot of the stupid things that she says, but she says them.” And probably means them.
Gina concluded, “Hopefully this is a learning experience for her.” That is unlikely since the controversial comments have continued and the apologies weren’t the most heartfelt, but we shall see. Especially if her spot on Real Housewives of Orange County is on the line. Which it could be if the backlash is strong.
