Gina Kirschenheiter

Gina Kirschenheiter Lost 30 Pounds Since Filming Season 15 Of Real Housewives Of Orange County

Gina Kirschenheiter is already off to a rough season on Real Housewives of Orange County. Sure, everything seems fine, but is it? She has a new boyfriend, Travis Mullen. He seems great and all but I definitely think there is a co-dependent vibe between the two. Gina moved on very quickly from her divorce. So quickly, that Travis has even been attending her meetings with her attorney on camera.

But aside from Gina fighting with castmates over whether or not her new house is sad, her appearance has become a topic of conversation too. Off the show, fans can’t stop talking about her horrible extensions. On the show, Gina has regularly complained about her “love chub”. That’s code for some weight she has put on while newly in love. We get it. And by we, I mean me. I get it.

But Gina has decided to take action about the weight. Please god let her work on those extensions next. Gina revealed to Hollywood Life that she has lost a whopping 30 pounds since she started filming the current season of RHOC.

So what prompted Gina’s to make new goals for herself? She revealed, “I think honestly, mostly just being back in routine with the kids. The kids went back to school and that gave me free time and then going out and about a little bit more and it’s keeping me away from the refrigerator.” She also credits good old fashioned diet and exercise with her loss.

Gina admitted that she started unhealthy habits amid quarantine. Like all of us, right? She said, “For so long we were just at home and I wasn’t driving. So I was home all the time and you know how that is, and I’m like, ‘Well I’m home. Let me just go in the deli drawer.’ A pack of salami later, you’ve got an extra 30 pounds.” Totally relatable.

But Gina waned to clarify, “I am OK if I’m heavier.” She just thought it was time for a change. Gina continued, “I look at myself and I’m like, ‘Oh my goodness, I didn’t even really realize that I had gained so much weight until I literally couldn’t even fit in my pants and it was like — Wow, this is a problem’.”

When asked what kinds of food Gina had to cut out she said, “definitely alcohol.” She explained, “For me, wine is the killer so I don’t keep it in the house and I don’t drink during the week. I try to make rules like that unless we don’t have the kids and it’s date night.”

But Gina won’t let any of this weight business get her down. She admitted, “The bottom line is, this is probably not the last time you’re going to see me with love chunk and I won’t even have that excuse! I’m just going to be that person and I’ve always gone up and down, and I think stress is a factor for me which is why I think I started the show so thin. Now I’m probably at where you’ll see me in general unless I go up again.”

I think so many of us can understand and share the same struggles. While Gina isn’t the most aspirational housewife, at least we can always count on her to be relatable. No matter what she weighs.
