A New Married At First Sight Spin-Off Show Announced: Married At First Sight Unmatchables

It’s time for a reality TV shake up. After a solid year of binging reality shows of past and present from our respective lockdowns and quarantines, we’re due for some fresh content. Even more, the upgrade in accountability for reality stars when it comes to blatant and veiled racism has completely shifted viewer expectations. Gone are the days of sweeping very troubling and flat out unacceptable behavior under the rug. Why shouldn’t we be entitled to quantity and quality?

If you’re sick of Housewives, there are other options. Shows like Temptation Island and Selling Sunset are complete stand-alones. They’re also in their early seasons and not overly repetitive in their story lines and cast dynamics (yet). There’s also shows like 90 Day Fiance and Married At First Sight that use the same formula every year, but bring on fresh faces to make it interesting. Tragically, after eight and twelve seasons respectively, even these gems are starting to dull. So what’s next?

Ebony recently revealed a Married At First Sight spin-off show is in the works! For those of you who are already major fans of MAFS, no, this is not a Newlyweds style show following axed expert Dr. Jessica Griffin and her former marriage subject turned fiance Jon Francetic. But wouldn’t that be awesome?

The new show is called Married At First Sight: Unmatchables. The show will include MAFS experts Pastor Calvin Roberson and Dr. Viviana Coles along with 16 people who previously “tried out” for the Married At First Sight process. Since the show first aired, they have had over 65,000 people sign up! Now we will get the tea on just what it is about these people that makes them unable to find love.

Some highlights on the unmatchables include 32 year old Ashli. This woman is the daughter of a pastor and apparently has codependency issues with her roommate. Her bio also includes insight into her…bad gas. On the flip, there are people like 29 year old Niraj. Niraj is a mechanical engineer who sees women as numerical variables within a mathematical equation. Romantic.

There also seem to be quite a few Peter Pan cases. One unmatchable, Megan who is 27, is said to only eat chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese. Maybe she can hook up with Clyde, a 30 year old who wants a woman to keep the floors so clean he can eat off them. I love a co-neurosis love story.
